Your garden looks gorgeous Judy. I’m glad the wasp sting improved.

Your garden looks great - very easy to maintain with just a little work every now and again.

More time gardening. I was given a sad looking birds’ nest fern this morning so I cut it back, repotted and fertilised it to join my other shade loving plants under the back pergola. It’s a plant  I’ve never owned before so I hope I’ve done the right thing with it. I think I’m pretty well done in that spot now, no room for anything else.

Judy, both front and back look lovely.  I’m learning to garden in pots so I’m interested in what you are doing..
KAtie , great to see the kids getting ready for a new school year.
Today DS is coming up from Melbourne to again look at our internet, door bell and security. He shifts all the stuff around trying to find the best spot. He can monitor our internet from Melbourne so knows when it’s not working properly. We tap away in ignorant bliss.
A/C worked well yesterday but lovely and cool today.

Thanks ladies, I enjoy pottering around in my garden and with my pots. Inside the house I’ve gone with the trend of having plants in water, I have 8 at the moment which is probably going to be enough.

Chookie, living in ‘ignorant bliss’ suits we oldies LOL.  You’re lucky to have a tech minded son to help you out with the necessities of life which unfortunately we need these days.  You’re probably growing veggie & herbs in your pots but apart from spring onions and parsley I’ve never had much luck with growing veggies anywhere in my garden. I did however plant 2 passionfruit vines in DD’s garden in big pots and this year we had 30 pieces of fruit hanging from the arbour, I was amazed as it was only the second year.

So glad to hear that your AC is finally working, Chookie, that is a huge relief.

I agree with Judy, you are lucky having a DS who can take care of your techy jobs, when everything is working well it is wonderful.

We would be in big trouble if DD wasn’t around to sort out our IT problems.

Had a great day with DS. The doorbell he originally put in was faulty. We took it back to JB Hi Fi and it was replaced. Works well now. While there I did a little shopping. Bought, on DS recommendation, cads to slip into our iPhone wallets so they can be traced if lost. ( we have just spent 2 weeks looking for Rals phone . Finally found under car seat)  will last 2 years as has own battery. Issue with other tracing devices built into iPad is that if iPhone battery goes flat, you can’t trace it.

Thought I’d put this in a separate post.
Inspired by Judy’s garden. This is what I see when seated at the table.  From the left, tomatoes, parsley and basil, geraniums and clematis. All in pots, a mix of flower and veggies. I also have French beans and lettuce, chives and most herbs.
3 sides of our block has been planted with Bay bushes to act as a screen. I’ve pulled a couple out but will trim off the lower branches to make space for more pots.

Chookie, your garden area looks lovely.

I did the vaccuming this morning and then decided to clean my oven, not a job that I enjoy.  I always put my racks in a large plastic bag on the shower floor with lots of hot water and a dish washing tablet and let them soak.   When I emptied the water it overflowed and flooded the bathroom floor.  I then had to turn around and wash all the towels I had used to clean up the mess.

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Chookie that’s lovely, the bay screening is good too - there’s nothing worse than just looking at a fence. It doesn’t matter how small a garden is, it gives you somewhere to potter and a reason to spend some time outside.

Margaret it’s so annoying when you make more work for yourself, we all do it now and then.
