Some farmers nearer to the city have trouble with people wandering in the canola to get a selfie over here.
Most harvesting is completed over this way. They usually finish before Christmas but it was a very good season this year.

Very little done here, sitting around watching cricket then went to DD’s for a swim which was nice.

Our new house has turf nature strip. As we are on a corner it has 3 parts. With the hot weather, it has started to die back. We bought a new sprinkler but it only does a bit at a time. Our neighbour, our GP, came in and asked if he could set up an auto watering system for us. He spent yesterday afternoon setting up the system. It’s wonderful as it has a timer.

Chookie such a great neighbor. Maybe you could turn the corner nature strip into a vegetable garden !! Flat day here too hot and I think it was a migraine that kept me very quiet . All getting better now , thankfully cooler today so hope I get a lot more done and some cooking .

Chookie, you are so lucky to have such a thoughtful neighbour.   I wish mine were as considerate. they have 2 dogs. 1 barks all day and the other whines all the time.  They are very strange people and don't talk or acknowledge you in any way, just walk with their heads down.

Update.  I have found the missing dress at last, now if I could only find the shoe that went missing after I chased a spider two nights ago.

Great news about the dress Mab. Now for the shoe.
What lovely neighbours your GP and his family are Chookie.

I did a bit of housework today.

Trying to get someone/ anyone to look at our A/C. Drove down town to the head office of the A/C firm responsible as they weren’t toking phone calls. Said they don’t work with our builder. Gave us a phone number. He isn’t licensed to work on A/C only heating. And on and on it goes. We are in for a week of hot weather. DD wants us to go to her house. Ral doesn’t want to go. I understand this as it requires organising so much stuff. Think I might just go and buy 2 portable A/C units for our bedrooms. Any ideas ?

Chookie that’s not good how frustrating. Not sure what you would get , but the only portable fans we have used are the box , square ones that are the best , pedestal fans are ok for the night but easy to knock into . As you know the good guys are normally very good .

Chookie, that is terrible, it couldn't have happened at a worse time of the year.  I think the idea of a couple of portable a/c units or even an evaporative cooler (something like this https://www.harveynorman.com.au/honeywell-es800-indoor-portable-evaporative-cooler.html) could well help, but you will probably have to run it near a slightly open window otherwise it will make the room a bit damp and  you have to keep it topped up with water once or twice a day, depending on the unit.

Chookie, that is terrible, especially with this hot weather coming.    That is a very poor response from the A/C company, it's their product that is the problem, not the builders.  Can you take this to Consumer Affairs.  Portable A/C units would help but you shouldn't have to do that.

I was thinking about this on my drive down today and suddenly realised that your purchase agreement with the agent from whom you purchased your house should have a clause whereby all electrical / electronic items must be in working order for a defined period of time after purchase.  I just recalled this when I remembered you had to replace something very expensive in your house at Cherokee when it was sold.  I imagine you and Ral have obviously thought of this anyway, but wanted to jog your memory to check this out.
