Not a lot happening here, it's only 9.15 so plenty of day to go. I have just had Tenina's new Vegetarian book delivered. Very timely as I do my menu plan today before shopping.

That was quick Cookie, a good excuse to sit and have a coffee (or 2) and read your new book. Hope it's a goodie, DH can get it for me for Christmas.
Just out grocery shopping away and realised I have forgotten 2 things. They were on the list but I got side tracked looking at the magazines.
I have my Annual skin check later so will stop and pick up forgotten items..grrr

I hope your skin check goes well Katj.
I've peeked through Tenina's new book. There are some repeats from other books  :-[ :-[ but quite a few new ones that I would like to make.

CP the parcel post man brought it and he comes early here.

All the best with the skin check Katj.

Today DH became an Australian Citizen. There were several speakers and 1 of them asked for a show of hands of new citizens that had been here over 10yrs, over 15 etc. Well DH had been here the longest without becoming a citizen - 36 years. (makes me so proud  :-)))
He hasn't lost that pesky acsent though (only joking, have a chuckle with me).
There was morning tea afterwards, a little disappointed as there wasn't a vegemite sandwich or lamington to be seen.
It was lovely to see the families standing up and becoming citizens.

My book hadn't arrived (insert sad face) maybe later today. Parcel post man use to come really early. Maybe he has changed his delivery times. Postman hadn't been yet. Not that I can read for long atm. I have the worst hay fever this year , and today it's really bad, and it's my day off. Not much getting done.
Hope your skin check goes well Katj.
Congratulations to your DH mcmich.

I look forward to your review of the Vegetarian book Cookie. I am trying to convince myself I do not need any more cookbooks but have been tempted by Skinnymixer's Taste of Asia.

Congratulations to your DH Mich. The fact that it took 36 years simply means he has thought about it carefully.

Jeninwa I swear by my Rhinocort as a preventative measure, however yesterday and today I have been very sneezy. I hope you feel better soon.

My Dad is a permanent resident. He came from England in 1949, and has never been back.

That's a lovely photo Michele, are you going to have it framed for DH.

Good to hear some of you are receiving T's latest book.  Once ordered, we always want our new books NOW.  I've stopped buying books these days but will watch your reviews with interest.

Good news Katj.

Spersephone your Dad is definitely an Aussie now then. My inlaws came in 1948 and became Aussie citizens a long time ago. DH was born here though so he is already an Aussie.

Good news Katj.

Spersephone your Dad is definitely an Aussie now then. My inlaws came in 1948 and became Aussie citizens a long time ago. DH was born here though so he is already an Aussie.

My dad came out on the Snowy scheme and became a citizen shortly after.
It was amazing to chat to some of the people and families and hear their stories. We certainly are blessed to live in Australia.
