Chit Chat / Re: What have you been doing today?

We went to the dentist this morning. He tried to persuade me to have some very old front fillings replaced as they are quite discoloured. I politely said no thanks.
He also mentioned that our gums recede, or actually more bone shows or something. He said mine is ok for the moment. A kind young dentist. I still remind him that I'm a chicken each time.
Surprise visitors this afternoon.

It's a pleasure Judy. We will make it a thing each month as we go anyway. DH said he will make Tuesdays days for Frank, to do odd jobs for him and spend some time with him. He's lovely and we love him dearly.

Chit Chat / What are you cooking today?

I used to use a lot of recipes from that site. I must check back. That sounds delicious.

A while ago I made some fresh mozzarella. I kept it in some of the whey from it and it sort of tried to dissolve the cheese. I did a bit more reading and made another lot today. The only trouble is that I want to eat all of it.

We had a coffee morning with car club friends this morning. DH went and picked up the previous owner of our new car and brought him along. He told DH that he thinks letting the car go now was a good idea. So sweet of him. He knows quite a few of the people we have coffee with.

I often suggest the forum to a lot of people too Chookie. Mainly online. I get a little cross with people who say, "I have just got a TM 6, what are your favourite things to cook?" I suggest it then. I always say that there are tasty, easy recipes on here with often reviews of them. So many people are getting too used to the guided cooking. However I guess as long as people cook. ;D ;D ;D

It may be Judy. I've never asked the GP about it. I will one day.
The cured salmon I made from Cookidoo was horrible. I don't like the taste at all. It may be going in the bin.
I'm making a Classic Loaf today.
I made some Choccy Rocks yesterday.

Yesterday we had a small family Cremation for Ral. We played 2 of his favourite pieces of music and had beautiful native flowers on the coffin. DD and DS both said a few words. It was short and dignified. I again thank you all for your kind words of support.

Chookie that sounds beautiful.

We had dentists come round in the bush to do our teeth. They drilled without injections too. It was a horrid pain. Even now I remind the dentist that I am a chicken each time I go. He is far too young to even remotely remember such things happening.

Marina, you will love it. I bought one for my SIL for helping me . He loved it so much that he bought his mum one.

Thats lovely Chookie. Many years ago a new shop, The Good Guys, opened near us.They had Panasonic bread makers out for about $100 as a special. DH rushed up and bought us a new one and one for his Mum. Then I decided my Mum needed one too. My brother then decided he needed one too.
They wondered what he was up too.
