Megan,  I love the white chunks of macadamias,   Thermomix site has a recipe where you use the biscuit as a base for small lime tarts.   My DD uses them as a base for small cheesecake tarts.

I use a pre-mix,  by Laucke.  It has salt, sugar and improver included.  No preservatives.  If you use Bakers (bread) flour,  add what you would normally add when making bread,  based on the flour amount.

Jams and Chutneys / Re: Plum Paste

Friend pointed out,  last night,  that the Quince and Plum Paste make excellent centers in Jam Drop Biscuits.   She said she cuts the paste into small cubes,  and it doesn't run every where like jam.

Amanda,  how exciting.  Wish I lived in S.A so I could see the report.  I am not surprised you are famous,  you are a true FOODIE.

DJ,  what a fright you must have had  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[.  I found that if you pour boiling water into the Thermoserver,  before the hot food,  it keeps the food hot for longer.

Yes,  this sounds like too much fish sauce.  I would normally only use a tablespoon at most.

Russell,  if you add water ,  reduce it to a 1/4.  This will help.

Well i have read it from cover to cover and think ( without trying any of the recipes),  that it is THE BEST publication from TMX so far.  Most of the recipes are uncomplicated and the ingredients are what we have available.  I can't wait to make some of the dishes.  I will report more as I test the recipes.   P.S. if I saw it in a book shop I would certainly buy it.  Congratulations to Tenina.
