Oops - hope that wasn't me  :-))
I cheated and just posted calendar recipes - but they're better than nothing. And I added my tweaked version on rice milk  ;D

No, I just happened to be looking at a Brownie recipe on the back of a flour packet, and thought I would have a go at making that in the TM as it looked really good, but just checked to see if there were any other Brownie recipes on the forum and voila! there it was. Not to worry.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Lets introduce a new chef

Its embarrassing, I wished I just gone to bed a couple of hours earlier. I was determined to come up with some new recipes though, and look at how to convert a few of my own and I think I was suffering from complete brain drain.

Eek! That was midnight last Friday when I posted that after a long day at work, and was on the computer until all hours searching for some good recipes to convert and post. I can't understand it myself  ??? ??? ??? - it sounds like I was replying to another post (and possibly was on another website and planet I think). Tried to delete it, but I can't. Anyway, hope to get some time today to post a recipe that I made over the weekend.

I am not in the reality of making a new site. I have made other sites, and I do know that this website is not web friendly for you. blah blah blah....how do we telll you...get sick of being matronly and telling all and sundry....

just love where she found some amaranth in a dark corner in Budapest...conjures up a very rustic and romantic movie scene in the corners of my mind whilst I inhabit an Aussie kitchen with all the all mod cons and views to a plasma (watching cooking shows of course) and access to a remote control...no I am not a male..

well, I am always having a little peek at this website whenever I get a chance through my working day, and love to print off some of the recipes that look like winners....but alas...I haven't had time to convert any of my own recipes for this forum. Needless to say, I haven't had time to cook all the recipes that I've printed off!

Hope is in sight tho as I have this weekend off, so I must return the favour, convert - and pass on few of my all time lovelies, so I have my fingers crossed I won't see all the dust that has accumulated around the house and go into a bit of a cleaning frenzy instead  ;D ;D ;D

I've noticed during my perusals that it always seems to be the same contributors, so I am asking all other TMuser Perusers like myself to give these people some of our recipes to cook instead. Lets go mad and have a Cookoff  :P

Hi Sue

I don't eat porridge, but my DD does. She has written in the EDC and her last entry for 1 person was - 85g porridge, 270g milk/water, and whatever that last ingredient the measurement is fine. I will confirm with her whether these measurements are the best so far. There is also a lovely porridge recipe on this forum.

When I first got the machine I made the mistake of not reading the recipe because I was too excited. Usually if I have a flop, its because I have been too impatient to read the instructions properly.  ;D

Introduce Yourself / Re: Big decision - to buy or not to buy

With the purchasing plan in Australia - i went with the credit card payments. I think it was $100 more in the overall scheme of things, but at least you were able to have access to your TM straight away. You can also earn credit card points.  You should always try to get rid of your debits first, and I alway pay our credit card off at the end of the month every month - recommend never spending more than you can afford. If I didn't take this option I would recommend saving up the money first.

Cakes / Re: Choc fudgy wudgy cookies

10/10   We did 3 styles: balls of mixture unflattened, balls of mixture slightly flattened with a fork, and balls of mixture flattened down more with a fork. The best looking biscuits were those that were flattened down a little bit more with a fork before going in the oven - and looked very much like a yummy biscuit that you would see in a cafe, whereas the others were smaller and had rounded tummies (like me).

You won't be able to resist the machine once you go to the demonstration - thats a given. Just cook as many recipes as you can from the cook book to give you an idea, and also use these recipes from the forum (because there is a huge variety to choose from). Show your kids how to use it to make some food they like to eat - like smoothies, dips, biccies and cakes etc. Just try to find recipes that you think you will like, give them a go, and hey presto! you'll be addicted too. They really do make meal times and cooking easier.

Main Dishes / Re: Beef and Guinness stew

Made this last night, and plates were mopped up with bread. Very easy then to just put them in the dishwasher. With a bit of puff pastry, the stew would also make nice pies .

Cakes / Re: Bananna Cake

Went to the local supermarket today, and flashed my best smile whilst asking for some over ripe bananas - ended up with about 8 lovely banana's out of the good pile that had just started to get some black marks on the skin and paid $3. Have to be pleased about that! Made the cake, and I must say its the best one I have ever tasted. It is really soft and moist, and there won't be any left for tomorrow  :-[

I think I will make this for our Christmas in July dinner just because it has good reviews and was posted on my birthday - which must be a good sign...

I think I am supposed to be making a Lemon Tart - but as it is for tomorrow night and I don't have a TM recipe, if anyone can post a ripper between now and then that would be greatly appreciated -- and I will get my daughter on to it ;D

;D I didn't see that particular Masterchef show -- but it sounds good and I will Google it... I would really like to see her become a consultant because I am really impressed with how she has transformed in the kitchen.  I reckon that if she can show people how easy it is, whether it is her friends (who prob can't afford it at this stage in their life) or another housewife or husband, then anyone can use the TM with brilliant results.

Hmn... has anyone seen a recipe anywhere for making wine in the TM??
