Hi Robyn, I could never imagine you not cooking something every day but, as demand wains I can assure you that we all get there sooner or later. The living alone syndrome or restricted dietary requirements play a big part in our lack of enthusiasm for cooking.  Nice to see you pop in.

Sorry to hear that cookie, we’re all aware of the fact that we’re in the age group where tumbles can happen but even if we’re careful they can just happen. I hope you haven’t broken anything, fingers crossed all will be well.

Cookie, your rainfall (or lack of) must be a problem. Are you on water restrictions at any time of the year?  Ours has improved a bit on previous years and we’ve had no restrictions for a few years now.

Chookie, with what you already have on your plate for Easter it sounds like a good idea to buy your Easter buns this year if they’re as good as those you make.  Great news from the eye specialist.

Good luck with re-commencing your quilting project Margaret, I love the work that quilters do but I wouldn’t have the patience to do anything like that myself.

K Atie, I hope you're feeling yourself soon. Time out now would pay dividends in the long run.

I’ve been for a massage at the Wellness Centre this morning, it was the best one I’ve had anywhere. I’m now doing 3 gym sessions a week and having a massage every 6 weeks or so.

Nice to see you’re up and running again K Atie, it takes more than Covid to slow you down.

My Mum used to make it for our breakfast sometimes when I was a kid, she always did a cooked brekky because I didn’t like cereal.  DD2’s family loves her fry-up on the morning after Christmas Day, she cooks heaps extra veggies so that she can do this.

Cookie I was completely unaware that the storm even happened in Adelaide until I saw the 4 pm news as nothing happened here. I messaged my GD to see how Glenelg fared and she was like me, knew nothing about it.  I’ve been very lucky in the almost 30 years that I’ve lived here, even the rain rarely comes this far down the peninsular.

Ladies if I didn’t make the effort to go to the Wellness Centre I know I wouldn’t exercise at home, some mornings I don’t feel like going (especially in winter) but we have a great group of ladies and it’s fun. The social aspect is as good for us as the exercise.

Well done Margaret.
Good luck on Thursday Chookie, it seems to be something all senior people need to have done at some stage. Have fun in your kitchen with your visitor after the op, I’m sure she’ll learn a lot from you.

I went to a different exercise class this morning, it was fun and something different to the gym work I do on 2 other days.  I also had my heavy work gardener come in with his offsider for an hour, I can’t believe how fast these guys work and how much they can do in an hour.  I also had a visit from an old friend for a couple of hours as well.

Is this your first Covid bout K Atie?  It continues to spoil people’s special plans but on a smaller scale, I hope it doesn’t hit you too badly.

Well done on your controlling diabetes cookie, you’ve done so well for so long now.

I just remembered this section of our forum for recipes for less people, maybe you’d find something there Chookie and Margaret. I’ll browse it myself when I have some spare time.

I sent Chookie a link to a site with recipes for 1 or 2 (American) so I may as well mention it here too, https://onedishkitchen.com/

Whatever would someone want to throw perfect food out cookie, I bet they didn’t own up to it.

Margaret you’ve been very busy cooking for your family, lovely catering once again. Happy birthday to your GD.
