Can someone explain to me what an ebook is please. Does it come through as a pdf document or something and then you download it to make your own book or do you file it away somewhere and just refer to it on your computer? :-)) :P ;D

It will be sent as document to your email address I'm assuming Judy. You can then file it where you want to, as well as print the recipes off :)

Yes once you recieve the pdf you can put it in your ipad library, store it as a doc, print off etc.

Yeah I love cookbooks so will print it out and keep in my ever expanding display folder of tmx recipes :)

I thought perhaps you needed an e-reader on your iPad or laptop to be able to open an e-book. But I've never bought an e-book so I don't really know ???

Perhaps someone could print out an index so that we have an idea of what Tenina has in the ebook. Preferably here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=52.0) then I will put a copy in Recipe Reviews and link reviews to that list.

I went to the web site logged onto my account and downloaded from there. The link is there on your account. Hope it works for you.

Haven't got an account on Tenina's website as I paid by PayPal so can't log in to access. No explanation as to what the next steps were after paying. I don't think this is very professional. :-\

I'm the same as you.. and I got an odd email too. I think my problem is that I was not a registered member when I purchased.....I only signed up after.
I've emailed Tenina through the website and haven't heard & I'm just assuming they're working on it. Tenina seems really on the ball with such things, so I'm sure they're trying to fix this for us :)
Anyhoo, it's nice to know we are not the only ones!

When I ordered the ebook I didn't sign in (stupid me).
I have clicked on orders and there is nothing there for me :(
I do have a printed receipt to say that I have paid for the ebook.
Not sure what else to do at this stage.....

Looks great so far!
I hope more people puplish their books/recipes as ebooks, they really are handy to have and take up much less space than traditional cookbooks...my Galaxy Tab and TMX are rarely seen without each other (usually with forum recipes on the screen)!

"Queens" brand usually stock it in both H....just short of $10 for a little pot :-\

this will sound really dumb, but I've downloaded the book 3 times already cos I can't work out how to save it on my iPad. I'm too scared to close my screen cos I will lose it. Can someone tell me how to save it?

Not a dumb question at all CP! I also have a question, I'm itching to buy this ebook but I'm not sure what device to buy it on - home computer, ipad or iPhone? When I buy it, is it transferable between devices or does it stay on just the one? I want to be able to print it out but I also like to have it on iPhone for easy referral when needed. I've never downloaded an ebook before so have absolutely no idea on what it's like!!! If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

CP click on the top right hand corner of your iPad it should say read in iBooks or some thing like that click on that and it should take you to iBooks. That what I did.

Chookie, it said on the e-mail you get three downloads included in the price. So maybe just go back to the link in your e-mail to download it to your next appliance?

I don't have emails going to ipad, so I saved it on my PC, so I could print off the book....would love it on my ipad too....I need that 13 year old...hang on, I have a 15 year old here, will ask her for help....if she's not too busy for her dear Mum ;)

I will try and help.
Make sure you have iBooks.
Go into your emails on the iPad and download the PDF by clicking on the link.
Go into iBooks and the PDF page is on the second page.
Then I just moved it to the first page where the books are.

Is it easy enough to put on just the regular chunky desk computer, that's all I have?
Pity it doesn't come in both ebook and a regular recipe book.

I don't think I'm game to do this. I downloaded Evernote as some of you save your recipes on it. Damned if I can get a recipe over to it.

I still can't decide whether I'm game to try and buy this.
I guess I can always ask my DH for help if/when I get stuck.
I'm old-fashioned and prefer actual books I guess.

You can put this on your kindle as well if you have one. If you download it on your iPad you can choose to open it in your kindle app and can than sync it to your actual kindle. Sorry JD I think I've muddied the waters for some people even more. Tenina's book is a PDF so you can save it on any computer/iPad and open it in anything that works with PDFs -adobe acrobat, notability, good reader, kindle, iBooks. Etc.
I saved mine to our shared dropbox folder and DH cooked up the choc truffle pots whilst I was gardening. Review to follow once I've sampled it 😊

WOW guys, SOOOO sorry about the issues we had with the first orders…seriously the size of the file apparently sent our server into meltdown once you lovely peeps started downloading it like mad.
To hopefully answer a few questions….you can keep the email that the link was sent to you and always download from the link within the email. THEN….save the download to whatever file you have on your computer/phone/ipad/kindle and then you will always have access to it. You can put it onto every device you own. Not a problem.
As for a real book…we will take it on consideration as to whether we print a few (say 500 copies or something) if ppl really want that, we are happy to provide it.
I love the idea of an ebook, but love to hold a real book…so I’m a foot in both camps.
It has been a manic weekend and once again, thanks to all you crazy thermo mad ppl who are purchasing. Lets hope we are organised a little better next launch.
If for some reason you find your downloads are used up…and you cannot find the book in your system, (go to downloads FYI) and you do not have access to a teenager, pls email us and we will resend the link once we have verified your order. We understand this can be tricky….

Michele when I received the link in an email I right clicked on it then clicked on Save target as... and it ended up in my document file from which I was then able to print it out. I have kept the document in my computer as well. Make sure you have plenty of coloured ink if you want pretty pictures, it is a very thirsty print out. In hindsight I would print it out in black & white. Thanks Tenina.

I'm the same as you mcmich. I'm itching to buy it but would really prefer the book. Oh and our printer is always a bit hit and miss with its printing. It seems to print really dark then fades then dark again ???

Well I did buy it and love it even though I am not a dessert person. It is always nice to have a recipe you know will work . I put it on my iPad and on my laptop. The photos are brilliant and the recipes so easy even I can do it.
Also it nice to support someone who supports us. I will keep that in mind from now on when buying any book with THERMOTHINGY

I pre -ordered my copy of FFS last week, and sat back to patiently wait, and then saw the Ebook on offer! Ordered it, and had it downloaded later that night! Yum!! Makes waiting for FFS a bit easier! Thanks Tenina!

Naturally, Miss teenager set up a gmail account for the iPad, and I transferred link. Now I can paste the recipes in my Paprika cook book As well :). I can't copy the photos, so that means I have to make every single dessert to get a picture....what a shame that is ;)

Teenager has just taken a screen shot, cropped, and added the photos to the recipes in paprika 8). At least someone knows how to use this iPad!
