Greetings from Melbourne
« on: May 26, 2013, 12:39:30 pm »
Hi all,

I'm a new Thermomix user and, after a bad start with a defective scale out of the box and a replacement base from HO, I'm ready and raring to go. I just made a yummy soup for dinner tonight and I'm having my demo (to get my thermo server) on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to getting the most out of this machine!

Hi Mandy, welcome to the forum.  Not off to a good start by the sounds of it but now you are all ready for your TMX life to begin.  Soup is wonderful in the Thermomix, so quick and so many recipes available.  I hope you've had a look through our recipes in the condiment, spice mixes and jam sections to see just what other things you can make from scratch - you will be amazed at what you find there.  Have fun and enjoy your time on the forum.

Hi Mandy.. A very warm welcome to the forum.  That was a rather rocky start you had but here's hoping it'll be smooth sailing from here on in. Have fun with your demo! :)

Hello and welcome Mandy. It certainly was a rough start to using your thermomix. I'm glad it has been sorted out.
You will find lots of tried recipes on here, hopefully they will be helpful to you.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Hi Mandy, yay another Melbournite :)
Sorry to hear about your scales, not the kind of start you would hope for but good to know its all sorted.

So what yummy soup did you make?

Have fun at your demo, I had one a couple of months ago and got my free thermoserver plus a second bowl/blade set @ 1/2 price.
We had a fun night and my friends enjoyed the demo (always good to know)

Let us know how it went :)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I made the Moroccan Tomato and Red Lentil soup from the Everyday book, since The Boy and I both love a good lentil soup. It was so easy and delish and more up our alley than the risotto, which was yum but heavier than we're used to eating.
