Title: Hi from Mildura, Victoria
Post by: Lovely-lindaloo on May 07, 2013, 07:13:20 am
Hi, I am not a Thermomix owner yet, but I am nearly there. I always wished as a child that I could be a grown up, and I am Nearly there too  ;)

I love to cook and I am always looking for easier ways to prepare healthy home prepared, nutritious food. My Husband and I will often spend a day of our precious weekend in the kitchen together whipping up all sorts of yummy meals for the week and trying new recipes. I am a intuitive cook and will ready several recipes of what I want to cook and then head to the kitchen and make what I think. This usually works.

I have a suspicion that I will need to follow recipes for a while when I do eventually get my Thermie, Just to learn how to use it properly, then watch out.

I have been busy reading posts on this forum for several weeks and so I though it was about time I introduced myself.

HI !!!! :D

Welcome to the forum.  Hope you don't have to wait to long before you get your Thermie as waiting is hard.  There are so many recipes on here now so it's good that you are looking over them before it arrives.  When you get it you will underway in no time!!

Thanks for the lovely welcome.

I am planning a home demo in a couple of weeks then I need to have one of those critical conversations with my beloved, then we should be a goer.

So I guess it could be a while, especially when I am sitting here thinking I would love to go home and whip up a quick soup for dinner and maybe a little something sweet for afters.

Welcome NT. make sure your DH is at the demo. Males seem to like to see the tmx in action and taste the goodies. Many have been won over that way. Tmx rice custard won my DH over.

Thanks for the Lovely welcome Peeps.

I booked my demo last night and when I was rambling on about all the things I will be able to produce DH said "will I be able to use it too" I think my case is made already.

Gee that was easy.  :)

You are one step closer now that the demo has been booked Nearly There, good luck with it and hopefully you will order it that night and have it sitting on your bench in no time.  It sounds as if is going to be well used with DH jumping in with his offer to help as well
Welcome to the forum, you will love it here.

Hi NT and welcome. Hope you enjoy your demo and good luck with the DH talk. Have been in that position not that long ago.  I would suggest you have him home for the demo and keep feeding him food to try :D

Thanks for the Lovely welcome, I am spending much too much time scouring the forums for tips, tricks and recipes to try. I can see that this could be addictive.  ;D

Believe me NT it is. You see a recipe here and want to rush off and make it, then you come back on here to review it. We love doing it though.

Super Excited now.

Had the demonstration on Tuesday night and ordered my Thermie on Wednesday. Should be getting it Monday week all going well. Living in a regional area can be a pain at times :)  Whoooo Hooooo. I have an extensive list of recipes ready and waiting to try. Just want to get my hands on it. Think I may need to have a day off that week, just so i can play. I won't be able to focus at work anyway.

I agree with Judy 100%. One day to shop and the rest to cook.

NT I have been trolling these forums since we had a demo. I had to convince myself that I was making the right decision. After reading everyone's comments I knew I wanted one.  It should come this week. My daughter has bought one also and she has cleaned out her pantry and filled it with so many nutritious things in readiness to create some wonderful things. I too may have a day off as I am jealous that she will have more time to play!

Well done! I tried to persuade The Boy that it's so easy to use that even he could make dinner and he just gave me a look! I still bought it and I'm looking at it as another set of hands in the kitchen to help me with all those things that take time and effort usually.

Welcome NT :)
hehe, you sound just like me while I waited 10 long days for my TM arrive, in hindsight though, it was definitely time well spent pouring over recipes on here and another of my fav blog sites being quirky cooking.

I learnt so much pre TM from the lovely members on here, very late nights were had over that period, haha, truth be told they continued post TM delivery too :D

Not long now........ it is great to hear that I am not alone in getting excited about a new machine. DH is actually excited as well and has gone through the recipes I have printed out deciding what he can make. I will certainly be encouraging that behaviour LOL.  :)
