Thanks Judy and jeninwa. Wow what a big list that all sounds delicious. Now I really really can't wait till mine gets delivered.
-
Thanks ladies. Much appreciated.
-
WoW, what an interesting index of recipes!
So glad I Pre-ordered sight unseen....it's gonna sell out quickly!
-
What to make first??
Gert
-
I'm sitting here with the book in front of me, trying to decide what to make first. DH thinks the desperate Munchie cookies, I'm thinking icecream. As we are out of both, but the more I read this book the harder it's getting to choose.
-
After reading that list - I think I may have to order the book after all :)
-
I saw the book in Dymocks Garden city this morning.. It was lovely to see it there so early. I'm sure my local Dymocks will take about 12 months to get it. They have a new manager and he isn't the best. :'( :'( :'(
-
Thanks Jeninwa & Judy. It's nice to see a list of what's in the book. Looking forward to mine arriving this week.
-
Can't wait for the postman to deliver my copy. Sounds wonderful
-
Off to Garden City after drop off :)
-
Ill bet you are sitting reading it right now. What are you going to make first?
-
Funny you should say that. Just home, dumped bags on tavle, puttle kettle on & just took book out of bag. ;D LOL
-
I have something on the go........ ;D
-
I just love this book, I think its Teninas best to date :)
HHW :)
-
I have my copy waiting at home for me...only problem is I won't be home til 7th Jan! :( :-\ :'( :'(
I can't wait!!!!!
-
That wasn't good timing NomesFog. Oh well, something to look forward to in the New Year.
-
My copy arrived yesterday. I was so excited and then the kids said "what are we giving you for Christmas Mum?"
So I have not opened the package. Do you know how hard that was??? I put it under the tree and said "there's a book in there you can give me".
Oh roll on Christmas Day, really hanging out to look at it!!
-
Great willpower to be able to do that Nikkit, I don't think I could have. Hopefully mine comes today.

Wow you are strong, I couldnt wait to get stuck in!!
-
I think mine will be awhile yet as everything take so long to get to this last outpost .
Gert
-
Mine arrived yesterday and I read it from cover to cover. I don't think there's anything in there that I wouldn't make. Everything looks so delicious and easy, and mostly with ingredients that I have on hand. A few specialised ingredients are used in several recipes, so it will be worth buying them.
The best thing is knowing that Tenina's recipes are thoroughly tested, and having confidence that they will work. I also love her style of writing and her introductions to each recipe, it's like having a friend talk you through it.
-
Mine hasn't arrived yet, I'm hoping its today. I should have just gone to the Weight & Pay and picked one up!
-
believe me it is hard! I am sure the darned package waves at me every time I go past!
I might add sticky notes to my pile of goodies to take away for Christmas day, that way when I go through the book I can tab all the ones I want to try.
Miss 12 can't wait either. She asked me this morning if we could have a few cooking days over the holidays. I said yes - as long as we make some things to be stashed in the freezer as well. She's happy with that :)
-
I hope mine arrives tomorrow. Getting a little impatient now. I do feel sorry for our Aust Post courier though.
-
Well done Nikkit. You've got more self control than I do.
Nothing has arrived over here in the south either. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Would be lovely to have for the weekend.
-
WOW, you guys are so efficient...love it.
Thanks, just put a link to this thread up on my FB page as lots of ppl are asking what is in the book...
Keep the reviews coming! Merry Christmix to all of you!

Mine arrived today. Happy dancing!
-
Mine arrived today as well but I haven't had a chance to even open it yet. I have a few new books that I'm having trouble getting to just at the moment.
-
Mine arrived today as well. Unfortunately DH opened the door to the courier, and he snaffled it up to wrap and put under the tree. I didn't even have a chance to peek at the cover!
-
Oh that would be awful. Not long until Christmas though.
-
I just saw my wonderful courier drive into the estate and went down to the curb to wait for him the drive out and sure enough he stopped right at me and handed me Tenina's book. Yeah!
Gert
-
ah happy dayz

That wasn't good timing NomesFog. Oh well, something to look forward to in the New Year.
I'm out of Oz for most of the year, 6 months at a time...so it's actually good timing Judy as I'm only waiting a couple of weeks...could have been MUCH longer! ;D
-
all sounds so good, can't wait to get mine.
-
Mine came today!! ;D ;D ;D
Happy dance! ;D
-
Mine arrived today also! What a gorgeous book and soooo many recipes that I can't wait to try. It's going to be good having extra people in the house that I can experiment on ;D
-
I have just made the yeasted donut dough, in the fridge for 6-7 hours.
-
Look forward to reading your review Hally. :)
-
Are you using it for doughnuts Hally?
-
Yes I am making some for afternoon tea for cp, plus I am interested to see if they re-heat well in the oven.
-
Just wondering how I add a review to a recipe not yet reviewed?
-
Sammy, read this link and it will tell you how to post a comment on a recipe from one of the books which has not been reviewed yet.

I thought I'd share an SMS my DD sent to me last night from Melbourne :
"Tonight I held a dinner party for 6: entree Vegie sticks with pumpkin and hummus dip, main: Tumeric lamb roast, tabbouleh quinoa salad, smashed potatoes with a green sauce, and dessert: mango & orange sorbet and a coconut slice - all from Tenina's book, in about 3 hours. Just quietly, nailed it."
;D
-
Thanks for sharing CP. That's terrific - a stress free dinner party.
-
Yep CP, DD is right. She nailed it. What a fantastic menu.

Chip off the old block, CP!!' Terrific!! ;D
-
Like Mother, like daughter - it makes you proud doesn't it CP?
-
She couldn't cook anything pre TM. Now she's got so much confidence in the kitchen it's marvelous. She got KIS for Xmas. I do miss my kitchen partner :'( we used to have good times and chats
-
I can imagine how much you miss her CP. I would miss DD if she was interstate. You must be very proud of her cooking up a great meal like that. I bet her guests were impressed too.
-
I know exactly how you feel CP. Mum and I try to cook together each Friday. It's something we started when I had my first baby. It was initially an extra pair of hands or someone to hold baby while I cooked. Now it's trying new recipes together, chatting and having fun. And it's amazing how many little tips mum has passed on that she hadn't previously shown me. I don't know who gets more out of it, but we both love it 😊

I second that!!
-
we used to joke alot about how we were going to go on My Kitchen Rules. Now thats impossible because we are in different states :D
thats so nice kimmy, you will have lots of happy memories. food can bring people together even before it gets to the table
-
Quality time with Mum on Fridays sounds nice Kimmy.
-
So excited just got myself a ticket for KIS cooking class being held in Mandurah 21 February ;D
-
Fantastic.
-
I am anxiously waiting for more KIS books to come in; have ordered from Weigh and Pay. Bought DD a copy for Christmas and had a good read then went to get me a copy and they have all gone. Another best seller obviously. I will just have to wait and read all these great reviews.
-
Maybe try down at the Mt Claremont markets (near the Showground) on Saturday between 7:30 - 11:30am ;) ;) ;)
-
I think I saw on Tenina's facebook that every one had run out except her.
-

Ooo didnt know anything about this. Will check it out now, Thanks for posting.
-
I'm pretty sure it's the publishers stand
-
They were advertised on her facebook site. I should have put it up. Sorry.
-
At last I have my copy of KIS; Weigh and Pay put one away for me so now I have some more good reading material. What a beautiful book.
-
Does anyone know if KIS is available in any Perth bookshops?
-
Give Boffins or Weigh and Pay a ring WonkyDonkey - those 2 names came up when I googled but locals may have more information. Welcome to the forum with your first posting.
-
Also try Dymocks at Garden City. They are pretty good with Tenina's books. Weigh and Pay is good too if you are north of the river. Carousel don't have it. If you live north of the river you can order from Tenina and pick it up if you wish to save postage.
