Will this work - icecream?
« on: August 03, 2009, 08:00:04 am »
Hi
I've got some left over strawberry sorbet in the freezer - no egg white.  I have frozen some cream and milk in to ice cubes and am wondering if I blitz the sorbet with some more strawberries and the cream/milk ice cubes - will I get some form of icecream?  I don't really want to waste it but wasn't that keen on it as is, esp in the middle of Tasmanian winter!
TIA
Narelle

Give it a go - use the strawberries, strawberry and cream blocks and some liquid milk to help it break down.

Maybe need to make some icing sugar first depending on how sweet the strawbs were?

Thanks Thermomixer, I will just give it a go.  I have a 'thing' where I like to know something will work first  ??? but I guess no great loss.  Yes will definitely need some icing sugar.
