If you go to the iBook store you can get a free iBook of Julie Goodwin's 7 favourite recipes. I just downloaded it onto my iPad. I think it is only available for a short time. It is about 36 pages.
-
Thanks, Cookie ! :)
-
Thanks Cookie. Have down loaded it. It looks good.
-
Thanks cookie, I'm downloading it now ;D
-
You are a gem. Downloading now :)
-
Thanks for the heads up cookie, downloaded.
-
I wish I had an iThing :-))
-
what sort of recipes are there in the ibook?
-
Thanks cookie. I'm not terribly impressed with her recipes, but it's free, so what the heck!
-
There is buttermilk pancakes
Roast pumpkin, spinach and ricotta pie
Barramundi fillet with pineapple salsa
Veal with mushroom sauce
Moussaka
Lemon lime tart
Grandma's shortbread
:)
-
Thanks Cookie just downloaded it :)
-
I thought her 1st book was ordinary and so I wouldn't buy her second. I do feel inclined to try the pancakes, and the veal tho as they look scrummy.
-
I agree CP her books are nothing special and I wouldn't buy them but happy to try the free recipes.
-
Thx cookie just downloaded it..😁
Yes ive never been temptes to buy her books and im a bit of an addict lol but a couple of those recipes do look scrummy.. Will see but its free so what does it matter 😊
-
Thanks cookie. I'm another whose not a fan but for free ill have a look
-
thanks will look
-
Thans cookie, have downloaded. I have her book "our family table" that was kindly sent to me by Marie. I have made a few of her recipes & they have turned out well. So I am sure these will be good :)
-
Thanks cookie, downloading now.
-
Thanks cookie, have downloaded.
Yes I too am not impressed with her recipes but love anything that is free.
-
I don't have anything i - but do have both her books so don't need the download.
There are some nice recipes in them. :D
-
Thanks Cookie, just downloaded!
:-))
-
I find her recipes terribly basic. Nothing I can't find in any other cookbooks and most I would just make without a recipe.
-
I am going to make the roast pumpkin, spinach & ricotta pe as one of our veg meals this week :)
-
I did a search but can't find it.
Please can you kindly send link if there is such a thing?
-
DJ it may only be an Australian thing. I know that the free book on the USA iBooks site isn't free here in Australia.
I don't have any of Julie Goodwin's books but thought I'd try this as it was free. It is easy enough to delete.
-
Dj i tried to see if it was in pdf but its not.. It was on a site for $4 but i dont think you can forward it
Here is the link for those not in oz but its not free its $4.09 au

Good find Cookie! Thanks for the notice 👍😃
-
Thanks Cookie
I bought her first book, didn't even know she had a second one. I thought I would cook heaps from it because it seemed quite hoomely and normal food, but I think I have opened it twice and never cooked from it :(
I didn't know they ran a weekly free book so I'll be keeping an eye on that now too - thanks :)
Jadey :)

Ok night 😊

Thanks Marie :-* :-* :-*

Oh golly that must be what happens with free versions.
-
Apparently iBooks have a free book every Friday here in Australia. I think the USA. One is a different day but we have to pay for them in Australia. I will keep looking.
Frozzie if you didn't find it go to iBooks and look along all the books until you see 'free' in the corner of the Julie Goodwin one. Tap it and you should be right.
-
Think I will have to buy an i something to get all these freebies.
I really wanted to get rid of as much technology as possible though, not keep up with it. I would get rid of my 5yr old nokia mobile that does nothing but DH won't let me - says it security for when I'm driving at night. :-\
-
Mcmich just pm'd you 😊
-
Thanks Kim :D
-
Have just noticed that the free book this week is Curtis Stone, Seven days, Seven dinners.
Marie

Got it! I like Curtis Stone.

Have to agree with your DH on this one Mich!! And make sure you have a car charger- kept in the car!! Get an iPhone - I swore I'd never get one ... And guess what I'm using now!
-
I just remembered and have downloaded it. I'm not sure how I ever existed before I had an iPad. ;)
-
Thank you, just downloaded curtis stone :)

Just downloaded it, thanks for the reminder.
