haha I have been looking for a cake/cupcake stand ie to sit a cake on top and cupcakes on the lower rings for birthday parties etc..DS is in a couple of weeks lol but dont know if i dare as the cupcake courier is huge and is sitting on our buffet which DH sees all the time and if i also got a cupcake/cake stand lol it would jsut give him a reason to roll his eyes even more lol..not enough space in cupboards...have to get that shelving sorted for the garage lol  :)  I have already told DH that I want a shelf jsut for cooking stuff in the garage (for things i dont use all that often but still need)  :)

Frozzie,  a storage space in the garage is a great idea.  When we built our shed I had part partitioned off for my storage,  We bought some commercial shelves and lots of large plastic crates.  Each crate has a sticker on the front to state what is in this crate.  I have started to give stuff away.  I wasn't ready to do this when we shifted in to this house.  None of my cooking books are in the shed,  like you I have a passion for cooking books,  and it is amazing how often I use them.

I thought so too chookie and I plan to also put them in large plastic crates labelled of course...I just have no more space in the kitchen and also like you my cookbooks are staying put lol..i refer to them all the time even though DH thinks in a lifetime you would never cook all the recipes in them haha but they come in very handy and friends usually borrow a few depending on the occasion also..usualy dinner parties and birthdays etc..and i find others who are too scared to borrow them ie think they cant cook..i just tell them nonsense..cooking is all about confidence and a little skill lol!

Last year I had an attic ladder put in my roof and a floor made in the roof so I have now got heaps of extra storage. Its a great place to put those items that you rarely use but need to keep.
