Thanks for this! Anyone converted any other annabel-style savory meals for understood 1s ? My older daughter loved annabel meals and I'm now looking at converting them to TM for my second bubs.

Well if the more interesting lunches come back in the box, I will be resorting to sandwiches!

what happened to the good old vegemite sandwiches  ;D, kids are so spoilt these days. oops maybe i should  delete that   :-))

Hmmm maybe the zero nutritional content and the colours and flavours! Caramel - been linked to gastro intestinal probs. So think I'f prefer additive free lunches - which was the main reason I got the TM. Although it is tempting to go something simple!

Hi everyone

My little one is starting kindy and I am thinking of some healthy alternatives to sandwiches that I can whip up in TM

The need to be nut free.

What are your fav lunch recipes for your kids?

I've noted lots of great sweet treats here, but I'm after savoury that will stand as a healthy lunch

Thanks

Babies and Kids / Re: Brown Rice cereal for baby

Is this the sort of thing you are looking for sals77 or this easy one from our forum.

Thank you! I tried the one from the forum but wasted a lot as bubs is only having 2 tsp atm.

How would I achieve the same result as the store bought ones where you just mix a tiny bit with water?

I guess I should try cooking the rice before turning it into flour and then I can keep just the flour in cupboard and add water as needed? Like what was suggested in chookiescookin?

Babies and Kids / Brown Rice cereal for baby
« on: July 29, 2012, 01:17:34 pm »
I'm just about to start introducing solids to bubs and am wondering if anyone has made their own brown rice cereal?

A prev post I found suggested milling rice and then cooking, and another blog suggested the opposite- cooking in washed rice oven first and then milling. I would like to jsut use TM if possible but need it to be digestable for bubs

Any thoughts and anyone done this? It doesn't matter the size of the grain does it as it's milled?

I would love to but wouldn't be able to stay whole day(s) at a time due to baby- but if there were 'session' options with T I would be very keen.

What's in these? Are you able to post recipe or is that not allowed (newbie here- just looked at rules very quickly and could not see this)???
I'm going to get this book but wanted to get started on these over the weekend.
