Good morning everyone. Off to meet some Probus ladies for morning tea, I skip breakfast and order something off the cafe’s breakfast menu. The others have a cake or slice and are always interested to see what I’ve chosen for my brunch.

That sounds lovely Judy. It’s cool here this morning but the days warm up and are beautiful. No smoke around this morning.  Hurray.

Getting Microwave back tomorrow. $130.  So won’t be getting a new one.
Has turned very cold.
Expecting rain over night.

I am still looking at microwaves-sort of. I asked Kitchenaid about theirs as I couldn’t find it anywhere. The first reply said they were available all over Australia. I replied that I couldn’t find one, I then received a reply saying they hadn’t been released in Australia yet!!!! DH suggested we still get one so I have been looking around a bit. We have had 2 Panasonic ones and they have been great. So we may get another, no rush though.

Another sunny day here but not so warm. A good walk with Chance this morning through the fields and along the footpaths. The Bluebells are in full boom.A wonderful sight. The weeds are growing too, especially the stinging nettles. Horrible when they catch you walking past on a narrow path.

I always loved walking through the bluebells when we lived in Kent, CC, they just look so cheerful.

Cookie, was it you who was discussing, or mentioned, a microwave / conventional oven combination a while ago?  We (hope - after 3 years!) to start our renovations soon and are looking for alternative ideas and it seemed to me the microwave / conventional oven could be a good space saving option, but I don't know much about them yet.  Are they worthwhile and do the work well?

I am a strong Miele person, but probably won't be able to afford too many of their products so I am now searching for good and reliable alternative brands that don't cost quite as much as Miele.

Morning all.
4 degrees here at the moment. Lots of rain overnight. Lovely.
Marina, I picked up several leaflets at DJs on Miele products. It has size and price of all sorts of ovens. The variety is amazing, ( and confusing).  It is only the steam combination ovens that are really expensive.
CC, how slovely, Bluebells.  Real spring.

Good morning everyone.  Very cool here this morning.  We had lots of rain overnight and more to come.  The garden will love it.

CC, your walk through the bluebells sounds wonderful.

Marina I am just learning about microwave/convection ovens. Some have steam and others have a grill. I haven't found one that has all 3. I have a Miele oven that does steam and love that. The new washing machine is also Miele. I think the new microwave may be a Panasonic, not sure yet.

The bluebells sound lovely CC, did you skip through them? It sounds like a song.

Funnily enough, I ran into a Kitchenaid shop this morning, quite by accident ... ;D ... and they didn't have one of the combi microwave ovens on display either, however, they did have lots of leaflets so I grabbed them (along with my free bag, tea towel and wooden spoon [I wonder if the wooden spoon has any significance?]).  There is also a Kitchenaid special offer on for the month ... buy two of their appliances and you will get 25% discount on one.  A tempting offer indeed, but I am still into Miele so I just don't know yet, I will have to do some price comparisons.

No skipping through the Bluebells Cookie. I think the song title is “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” LOL
