I found the dried cherries here at a fancy bulk shop called "Licquorice). They were very expensive. If I was to buy them again I would buy precisely the amount I needed. I would say cranberries/craisins would be a good sub tho.

I can't get them in my home town either but I dried some in my dehydrator after Christmas when they were going cheap and they turned out really good. I plan on doing a lot more this year when I see them at a good price as I do come across quite a few recipes asking for them.

I substitute cranberries. I have to travel a fair bit to get dried cherries and as CPsaid they are expensive here.

Yes it is Connors Nan - here's a link to Tenina's website.  It may be out of stock, not sure on that point but I know a second printing is underway.

I spoke with Tenina the other day and it is out of print, but the second printing is under way. She wasn't sure when it would be available.

I suggest you wait til the next print comes out, as I'm sure that any little "glitches" from the first run will have been ironed out.

Tenina's book is the best one going around Connar's nan - have no qualms about buying that one.

Hi Connars nan, just went over to the DOFB Link to Reviews and will PM what I copied off so you will have it as it hasn't been removed. I think with first print runs no matter how well its proof read and edited, there will always be things that escape the human eye no matter how hard they try. If you are more patient, second production of anything is always better than the first.
