It was a Public Holiday here today, for the Queen's birthday. I'm not too sure why they celebrate it now as her birthday is in April.

Today I spent 4 hours shopping at Harbour Town spending my birthday voucher from DD2, that was fun.

The washing pile has merged into the mountain of ironing ! Now to DD dentist . Then we visited DM having cemo . DD was so keen to see her DGM in the new Gandel wing of the hospital ! She nearly fainted with all the drips . Trying to get her use to things like this ! It’s a worry . Then to radiation to see the huge machine that goes around mum . At this point I feed DD a banana. See was a lot better . Very embarrassed , lucky DM did not realise .

As a kid when we had chooks eating the eggs Mum would hard boil a few and replace the yolk with curry powder. I think that deterred them.
Your poor DD KAtie.

We went on a coffee run this morning. DD drove the old Ute and I drove the EJ Holden. More back up for him in case he conked out.

Love the surfboard on the roof cookie, I didn’t know you were into that LOL

Today I went with a bus group to the Spring Gully factory and bought up big.  Sweet chilli sauce, beetroot and orange relish, cocktail pickled onions for GD to put on her cheese platters, sweet spiced gherkins, dill cucumbers for SIL, sweet pickled onions, savoury tomato chutney, honey & strawberry jam, honey, cherry berry spread, mango & lime spread. Around $35.

We left there earlier than the bus driver thought so he drove out to Gawler to kill some time before we ended up back at a hotel for lunch. I had my own tour guide sitting right next to me, a lady who knows Gawler like the back of her hand.  It was a wonderful day out and 27 degrees so that was perfect too.  Oh and I had asked the driver if I had time for ice-cream after lunch and he said he would call into McDonalds which he did when we were almost home. We all loved our bus driver.

Judy that sounds like a wonderful day. Finished off with an icecream- perfect.

DH decided that the EJ needed a surfboard! I'm not too sure why, apparently a lot of the cars had them. (we didn't in the bush!)
He went to the tip shop and found that one. It has a hole in the underside, so if anyone steals it they will get a shock.

I had my hair cut today.

We went back to the street we used to live in 15 years ago and had a catch up with everyone. It has certainly changed.

I had a giggle at your comment Chookie. 🤭I wonder how many rows are started over flat pack furniture and fittings.

Always appreciate the photos you post Cookie. The cars are looking good.

You had a great out Judy. Was the McDonalds a drive through 😂 DH loves a McFlurry.😂

Yes it was Den but the bus was too big to go through. None of us had been into one of these outlets for years so knew nothing about having to order on a screen. A lass did it for us in the end, each and every ice-cream order had to be done individually and of course we all thought that was ridiculous.

Wow Judy.  What a perfect day out.
Cookie, love the story about the Surf Board.  Your DH has just the right touch for creating the authentic look.
Getting up early to make Strawberry Huambo and SD loaf.
