We had 11mm of rain overnight, but the day has been fairly sunny. Which means it will be cold. We got down to 1 degree on Saturday morning.

Cookie, that seems cold for you.
Cool now, but .about 16 today. here.
DD is training to do Kayak rescue.  They are doing it on the lake at Ballarat.  They have to fall into the water and then be rescued.  Brrrrrrr. They are having a meal afterwards so I have offered to make soup and a pasta dish.  One of the team owns a Bakers Delight and will supply bread.

Good morning everyone.  Chookie,I'm not too sure about falling in the lake in this weather,  far too cold for me.  The forecast for today is 20*

I had a lovely day yesterday with friends.  Afterwards I went to their local KMart to look at small pie makers, none there so bought a waffle maker instead.

Gosh, you would need to be rescued quickly or you would freeze Chookie. A friend was doing her Ski8ppers certificate for their boat. She did it with a group of men and someone had to go into the ocean and be rescued., She was the only one under 60 so she had to go in.

Still cool here but not freezing.

More about falling into the Lake.  Sounds very cold to me also.  They are going to do it for 2 days.  It needs to be done for insurance.  Each day there is a paddling event, there has to be a qualified person on hand. I said I would cook some hot food but they have no facilities.  One PowerPoint.  I am going to make Cauli soup , ( crock pot ) and Ratatouille ( electric fry pan)

Something very nice happened yesterday.   Our Hairdresser in Melbourne, who we have been going to for 40 years, is coming to Invermay especially to give us a hair cut and me a blow wave.   We are to ring him when we are ready.

Good morning everyone. Beautiful day here.
So nice of him, is that a one off or is he prepared to come each time you need him Chookie.

Chookie, what a lovely hairdresser you must have.  Very good of him to come to your home.  I will never be able to replace mine who has retired.

Our handy man is here again this morning to finish off the back barge board which is very high.  I wish he would do the front one as well but DH is determined to do it himself, this one is not as high.. Old men over 65 should not climb ladders, I think I will report him to our DIL who works in emergency at our hospital. .

You are so right Margaret.  A fall at our age can change our life completely, I see the results in the nursing home.

Chookie how incredibly nice of your hairdresser.
Margaret what a good idea to tell your DIL, then maybe DH will decide not to climb up on the ladder. I detest it when DH goes onto a ladder, but despite a close friend smashing his ankle, he still does it.

What a treat Chookie to have your hairdresser come to you .
We had lunch at the boathouse on the lake on Monday , we all looked at those weeds and thought it would not be very nice , it was windy too .
Ladders just send alam bells to me , I still use them but with a lot of caution. Many years ago I did this - I climbed a kitchen chair then the bench hung on to the cupboard like a monkey , fell off flew through the air and broke my wrist !

What a lovely lovely hairdresser you have Chookie. I don’t fancy falling into cold water  🥶🥶
A lovely day of sunshine here today. I looked out of my bedroom window early this morning as I heard quacking and sure enough a pair of Mallard ducks were waddling around on the lawn looking for food.
The Cow Parsley is flowering which I love to see. Chance as usual chased the squirrels in the wood. He’s always baffled why they disappear.Of course the squirrels have the sense to scramble up the tree trunk.Chance never looks up.😂

Morning all.
Yesterday annual Mammogram then call from DD to say she had a cancellation and would I like to have some dental work done. She removed an old filling and replaced it.   She won’t take payment so I usually buy her something.  -
CC, love to see the ducks, sounds idyllic.
KAtie, I believe the Boathouse has a Chowder night on Wednesdays. We find the service there patchy.
Judy , the hairdresser is a one off.
No climbing ladders allowed here.  It is quite a battle.
