Everyone enjoyed the Tandoori Chicken.  I did use 2 lemons as recipe states min 80. but I think my dressing was too thin, so will only use one lemon next time.  Very easy and yummy.

 :P

Made this salad last night, as we are soooo over turkey/pork/ham!

It was nice, but the family didn't love it.  I would suggest adding the chilli seeds to give the chicken a kick.
I think they just know & love my version of this salad.

Made this tonight. Another winner. Would add halved cherry tomatoes next time to compliment chicken & dressing. Thanks Tenina.

I'm having friends over tomorrow night for bbq and I have chicken in the tandoori mix again tonight.  I love this marinade - so easy.  I'm not going to serve as a salad though.  I've cut the chicken breasts into smaller pieces , but will use the dressing after it is cooked, as will have loads of other salads to go with other meats on the night. Did think about putting the chicken on skewers.  I think that would work, but will try another time.

I made this last night when we had visitors. I doubled the marinade as I had a kilo of chicken thighs, and cooked the chicken on the BBQ. I didn't rinse out the bowl after making the marinade when I cooked the lentils. It added extra flavour and colour to the lentils, but my mc is now yellow from the turmeric.
I couldn't find pistachios (I know I have them somewhere), so I roasted some almonds instead and chopped them up.  I had them sitting on the counter ready to sprinkle on the salad, and one of the visitors ate most if them before I could put them on the salad.  :-\ I thought that they were a good substitution, and will probably use them again.
I also added some cherry tomatoes from the garden and a red capsicum.
Everyone enjoyed the dish, especially the kids.

My dressing was really runny too, although I did reduce the amount of olive oil.

We had this for dinner earlier this week. My dressing was very runny and very lemony too. Will reduce to one lemon next time as well. Very easy and tasty salad. Dh took a serve to work and it transported well. I enjoyed the leftovers the next day too. Loved the lentils. Will make again.

CP I only used 1 lemon last time and it was much better consistency and did not affect flavour at all.  Everyone at bbq loved it.  I will do it this way again - smaller pieces of chicken rather than whole breasts sliced as there is more flavour on the chicken pieces.  Oh, and I served on a bed of ???? God, my Alzheimers just kicked in.  What's the name of the peppery lettuce leave? :-))  Oh yes, rocket!!!!!

I had plenty of the marinade left, so I marinated some beef and threaded them on skewers and bbq'd them for dinner tonight, and served them on the same salad.

Just finished eating. I thought I would be able to eat half a chicken breast, but I was struggling as it is very filling with the lentils as well. I really enjoyed it as a summer dish. I used the seeds of the chilli as per maddys suggestion for the marinade, and 35ml lemon juice (1/2 lemon) for the dressing as I halved it as I was cooking for myself.  Made a real mess with the marinade on the BBQ, but I'll deal with that later. Great dish, good flavour, and I'll make it again.

There is loads of marinade, and I thought I would suggest that if you wanted to use it for another meal to reserve the marinade for the next meal BEFORE you add the chicken to the marinade in the bag to avoid cross contamination. Great idea ES to stretch it further.
