I have started pulling away from plastic containers as well.  I purchased some of the "flat stack" silicone containers and they are fantastic as they collapse very flat for storage and the lids are colour co-ordinated with the base so always easy to match everything up. However, some of them retain the silicone taste so I am starting to pull back from them unfortunately as I was hoping to have all my containers neat and tidy in my drawer.  Very disappointed.  I also have quite a few glass containers that I am now starting to use once again.

We forget how lucky with the modern cars, Cookie, they make life so much easier but you do lose the 'whole' driving experience of the old cars.

To be honest, Cookie, I don't really know the technicalities.  There are a couple of different types and they do much the same thing, but different, i.e. an oven vs. an air fryer sort of comparison.  The CPAP gives continuous air pressure which helps for those who snore and for those with sleep aponea and it also gives a fantastic sleep as well.

A couple of weeks ago I had to chop some semi dried tomatoes, a job I have always hated, it is so mucky.  I don't know if this is an 'original' idea or not, but I grabbed my kitchen scissors to chop them up and it worked really well - no oily chopping board to clean up ... bliss!!

Update.  A lot of water has gone under the bridge since I wrote this originally.

At that time I rented a CPAP machine for a couple of months and really didn't like it so I returned it.  The next step was a mouth 'appliance' to stop snoring.  It was extortionately expensive and I suspect the technician was only interested in making a sale, not helping my problem.

Once again, a failure.  It changed my "bite" totally - I was unable to chew properly and I was forever biting my inner cheeks to the point of bleeding, etc. so that got put to one side as well and once again I was faced with the 'dreaded' CPAP.  So I clenched my teeth and went for one again and this time I am very happy with it.  I think when I had my first experience with the machine I simply wasn't ready for one and this time I was happy to go with it and it has made a big difference.

It is not 100% perfect and sometimes annoys me, but it has made a huge difference (and DH is getting an uninterrupted night's sleep at last) so, if anyone is contemplating a CPAP I would encourage you to consider it seriously.

Hope you are better, Chookie.  I had a short spell of vertigo last year and it was no fun, fortunately my GP gave me some exercises to do which were a massive help.  Take care.

A worthwhile trip, Katie.  Those recycling depots sound like an excellent idea.

I have neither seen nor heard from her for a long time, Robyn.

How are you going up north, have you been caught in any of the severe weather?

The Laucke Wallaby flour worked out at $2.20 a kilo.
That was a good buy, Chookie

Good to hear, Cookie.  I was curious about that one.

I have ordered one of the adaptations that keeps small quantities at the bottom of the bowl (bad description, but I cannot remember the name at the moment).  It's for when you are grinding nuts, making pesto or small quantity sauces, etc.

What a stressful day you had, K Atie.  You must have been really wound up to have missed your turnoff to home.

Take care in this weather, everyone.
