A cheat from the Aldi freezer, lamb shanks in redwine sauce, with leftover mash from yesterday.
I wanted something easy and sustaining to keep us going on the paperwork. I heard some ladies in the shop saying they were good. Will see. Here's hoping!

Bad choice today - Scrapped the lamb shanks, they appeared to belong to a very old sheep that may have walked from the other side of the world....
Seriously couldn't cut or chew or anything. Followed directions completely.
Binned.

I hardly ever buy a ready meal.... Won't again! LOL!

I would take it back or the packaging back DJ and get your money back.I'm sure the supermarket would be interested that their suppliers aren't up to scratch.

DJ, yes take them back.

I was told by a gourmet butcher that supermarkets buy old animals where as a good butcher will buy young.

Not to mention  the time that item has been on the shelf....almost like Russian roulette! I'd certainly take it back DJ... You have nothing to lose....
