I can't quite imagine the taste of peanut butter and Vegemite! I can only think of peanut butter and chocolate!  :-))

DH ate the rest of the Swedish meat balls with some garlic rice and I had a cup of vegetable broth with a piece of toasted garlic infused sourdough and an ice-cream on a stick  ;D

It might be DFM... but I think the salt content would probably scare my arteries to death! :o

Actually the salt hardening your arteries is a medical myth.  If you have high blood pressure then you should avoid excessive salt however everyone else need not worry. Also in our climate and as an athlete salt is good.

Also a small amount of saturated fat dies not hurt either

I'm with you on that one DD, I think people are going overboard these days.  When DH was taken to hospital with a funny turn (another one) sometime back, they did all sorts of tests to find out what caused it.  Could find nothing but said his sodium levels were down.  I cook with salt and we sprinkle salt on our meals around here (not excessively but we certainly have the salt pot on the table) so I couldn't understand why his levels were down.  I was told he needs 1/2 tspn a day because he has MS but when I ran that by his neurologist, it was the first he'd heard of it.

I was presenting a workshop today so I got my curried egg sandwich. Along with some salad and a crustless quiche.

I never eat salt. I don't like it so I don't put it in any of my food. And since my diet revolves around raw fruit and vegetables, I don't get salt from my every day diet like a lot of other people do. I don't think its affected me yet ???

Everything in moderation.

I like peanut butter and marmite on toast and marmite and tomato on toast too.  :)

Tell that to my brother... he ate sandwiches like they were going out of style :-))

I've never had marmite. Is it better than Vegemite?

They all taste a little bit different.
