Had Mum around for lunch today - not sure if she's ever tasted chilli in food before but once she got used to it, she loved it.

Lemon & Chilli Chicken skewers (with only 1/2 the chilli) from What's for Dinner.
Potato & egg salad, tossed salad and Asian-style slaw with soy & chilli dressing from Taste.com.
Snicker-licious layered cheesecake and vanilla ice-cream for dessert.

Both dishes look lovely Judy.

Wonderful that you can still introduce new tastes to your Mum.

She's pretty good Katie, will try anything.  She has now taken over my iPad and loving slotomania ;D  Geoff is watching a war movie and she said if that is all that was on her TV, she'd get rid of it  :D

Yummo Judy :D

I had leftover beetroot salad with some leftover tempeh from last night and a slice of toast. Mum and SD had toasted cheese, bacon and tomato sandwiches :)

Yes, at 90 she isn't bad is she?  I even got her to thread the chicken onto the skewers for me and I'm sure she has never done that before. She went home with her little doggie bag of leftovers after spending 6 hours with us.
