Egg and bacon pie for dinner tonight.  More shortbread as DD and GC came at the weekend and most went home with them.

Love that the family enjoy your cooking Margaret.

I made JulieO’s Curried Pasta Salad today. It’s been a long time since I looked at our salad recipes. It’s my DF’s turn to cook on Saturday night, he’s doing fish and makes a very good garden salad so I offered to make a salad too. Summer is here.

Yes Judy it’s finally salad weather. I baked a piece of Salmon in my Ninja BBQ/ Airfryer. When cold mixed it with lettuce, cucumber, radish and tomato.
Mango fluff today. 1/2 mixture.
Lamb and veggie soup. Using bone from roast leg.

Sounds nice Chookie. Good to see you’re using your Ninja, I bet you get some looks by people walking by when they smell the food.

It was 35° here. Summer seems to have arrived.  It’s going to be 39° later in the week.
No cooking here.

Judy, it’s great to keep the fishy smells outside. Mostly when I’m cooking, not too many people are out walking .

Mab, that Chilli Jam looks lovely. What recipe did you use?
Made Chicken liver Pate with brandy, hazelnuts and orange zest. Much nicer than the bought stuff.
The Dinner out with Probus at a local Pub was awful. No wonder we cook at home.

Chookie, I used the Sarah Raven recipe.  I only used 2 tins tomatoes as the last time I made it it boiled over.  This time it is very runny so I'm thinking about putting it back in the tmx and cooking a bit longer.  What are your thoughts please?

They look delicious Mab. It’s been too hot to cook.

Mab, you could recook the sauce and evaporate some of the liquid or add a slurry of cornflour.
I bought a box of jam Apricots and am making Apricot Jam. This lot is smooth and the next lot will be chunky.
I have made a 1/4 recipe of my Xmas Pud. It’s all gone so I’ll have to make another lot.people like the individual serves.
