So I made another batch from the previous yoghurt.  This time I added 800ml full cream milk and 200ml cream. I also added a tbsp of agave syrup. It isnt as thick but tastes like the vanilla store bought yoghurt you get in those 1L tubs. DH loves that stuff. I think the trick for really thick yoghurt is adding the milk powder :)

Yes Judy! My 3 yo asked for the green soup again this week so I happily obliged. Lucky broccoli is cheap at the grocers this week!!

Made this tonight. My boys devoured it. Absolutely delicious.. just sad there wasn't seconds!! I think this will become a regular soup request at my house.

Also, since I love blue cheese with broccoli I sprinkled some shallots and blue cheese on top of my soup for some thing a little special. NOM!!

So I used the drinking yoghurt in my pikelets and froze the rest to pop in smoothies or to make frozen yoghurt.

I made another batch of yoghurt according to the EDC book and it turned out beautifully.  I put the yoghurt mixture into the thermoserver and wrapped it in a blanket and left it for 5 hrs. Also rinsed out the thermoserver with boiling water just before adding the yoghurt.

Perfect thick creamy greek style yoghurt. Amazing.

Thanks all for your help :)

Thanks goldfish. I think my yoghurt cooled down too quickly.. will put it in the thermoserver next time.

Will use the drinking yoghurt in smoothies and pancakes/pikelets tomorrow I think :)

I may of had a yoghurt failure too. I followed the EDC with 10% fat greek yoghurt as my starter. Put it in a pyrex glass dish with a lid but didn't put it in a cool oven because my oven has an open gas flame. Left it in the pantry for 5 hrs. Just took it out after 5 hrs to put it in the fridge and its thickened to drinking yoghurt consistency but no thicker. Will leave it overnight in the fridge and see the result in the morning.

Should I have put it in the thermoserver instead to set?
Do you need the 'cool oven' if you have a thermoserver?
What can I do with the yohurt I have if it stays runnier than yoghurt should be? Suggestions welcome. Thanks!!

Yum! Loved this simple basic slice/bar recipe. Have just made this but added 1/2 cup cranberries and 1/2 cup white chocolate buds.  I used the TMX to melt the butter and combine the golden syrup for 1 min. Then mixed everything speed 2 for 1 min. Didnt need extra stuff to bind the extra ingredients.

Thanks for sharing :)

Ive just made the EDC banana bread. It was delicious. Cooked it for 20 mins longer than the book says though. The boys gobbled it up for breakfast!

I made this for the boys tonight. I halved the recipe and only made six. These were delicious and well received by the boys. Will definitely be making these again! 5/5

Bumping this thread seeing as its getting into winter and the slow cookers are coming out! Just wondering if anyone has used their TMX as a slow cooker? I remember hearing (from my consultant I think) that TMX does slow cooked food in a third of the time cos its constantly moving in the bowl? Would be interested to hear more people's opinions... :)

Made these yesterday. Didnt have wheatgerm so used flaxmeal. Not too sweet and soft enough for my almost 1yo to eat. Definitely will keep these in the fridge for a quick snack. Love that I can take a few of these to work if I get a 3pm sugar craving!!

Made this last night. I did tweak the recipe though. Sauteed onions and garlic before adding the cauliflower and water. I also added a Tbsp of TMX vege stock. It was super smooth. L1 asked for seconds!! Success!
