I completely understand that Margaret, I usually either have trouble falling asleep (my mind won’t  close down and I think too much) or fall off quickly then wake an hour later.  From time to time I have half a sleeping tablet if the awake period is too long, especially if I have something on early the next day.  Whilst being sick for the past week I had nothing urgent to do other than try and rest up so I have managed not to have to take a tablet in all that time so I am rather pleased with myself.

Hello, yes it should be all good.

The staff at the reception said the surgeon  would ring me when the op was finished, no phone call. I rang them at 2pm, and went straight up.
Seems happy, and eating heaps, so we are revealed. The nurse in charge is so lovely, says he is doing well. :) :) :) Not using much pain relief.
He gets  up to go walking tomorrow.

That’s good news Robyn. Walking will be a bit painful, but it will get blood flowing through the wound and healing.

Margaret and Judy I don’t think I would cope with the lack of sleep. I go out like a light and have to be nagged to wake up. Years ago my mind would begin thinking, but I have managed to deal with that most nights now.

I am a bit like Judy and Mab.  Don’t sleep as much as I should. Nearly always wake at 4 am. Try to go back to sleep, mostly don’t. Brain a bit too active.

Another cool and overcast start to the day but brightened up this afternoon with sunshine.

Great news your DH is recovering well Robyn.

Good morning everyone, a dull day here with rain overnight. Hope to spend a longer visit at the nursing home today.

Just checking in for the weather forecast every where. I love to imagine people doing things appropriate to their weather. We had a little rain over night and it is sprinkling today. More forecast for tomorrow. It has warmed up quite a bit thanks to the rain.
