Am going to try and not go shopping this week.  We can use LL milk as we always keep some.  Out for lunch tomorrow and visitors on Sunday.  Visitors covered,Maggie  Beer pate,  from freezer, roast beef from freezer, Potato and celeriac gratin,  silver beet from garden, carrots.  For Pud  ,Queen of Pud.Plenty of wine available for those who drink and soda water  for those who don't.  Cantucci to have with coffee.  Made bread sticks.  Like ES,  I have run out of some tins,  but will work around this for another week.  May even try not shopping the next week also as we will be heading for WA.  Love this Challange.   Thanks Hally.

My total for the week is 84.13. Not bad. No shopping next week or very little..

Save my pennies for my trip.

My total for the week was $106.70, which included an extra trip to the shops thursday to buy extra bits to cook for 6 people instead of 3.

Who cooks for 6 & what is your budget? For a while I will be cooking for 4 adults & my ds & a teenager.

11 tins used, yay but still have a few tinned curry tins. Down to one packet of spaghetti :) still have lots of other types of pasta.

Will be doing my meal plan today for next week.

H :)

I think that is very reasonable Hally. If you go over you go over. It's a lovely thing you are doing for your friend.

Well this week I spent $79.06c. Which brings my average to $100.93.

Very Happy  ;D ;D

Avoided the supermarket but bought $5 tomatoes at farmers market.  Like Gert,  saving my money for Grace town.  Very pleased.

Greyhound mum - you could use chicken based ones in chicken pies? Otherwise no idea, never eaten canned soup really. Hopefully someone more skilled than me has a better answer.

GHM, a lot of American recipes call for canned soups.  How about listing what your cans of soup are and see if anyone has a recipe to suit.  I have used them in the past but it's something you soon change once you are a TMX owner.

Lots of the 3 and4 ingredient recipes use canned soup.  Mostly chicken, mushroom and tomato.
