Just completed the shopping for the week. A few non dairy items, my total for this week is $52.46, very happy  with that.

Menu plan later today :)

Oh Obbie that's sounds like a good plan for seafood (would you share with me?) I love seafood, but it's so expensive for us.

Hi Hally - do those non-dairy items include all your new PC books??  ;D ;D ;D ;D

(I should talk - I'm a total cookbook tragic!  Just trying to cull a few today - that is such a hard task!! :( )

That's an expensive meal for a counter tea Karen - they must charge like wounded bulls in your area.  A lot of us could feed the family for a week on that amount.   :o

My week ends tomorrow but I topped up today so no more groceries this week. Spent $98.59c. A weekly average of $103.36c. Really pleased with that.

Didn't go so well with the dairy only week and DH requested Nigella's meat loaf for tomorrow nights dinner and I have no meat left in the freezer.

Shopped today.  $99.18.  Couldn't resist 2 packets of Laucke flour on sale,  also large packet of toilet rolls. We are hosting a Birthday party next week so consider this very good.  DH is helping by not loading the basket up with chocolates.

Chookie, thats brilliant with a party & your still under budget :)

Didnt stick to dairy inky, need a few veg. Did anyone manage dairy only?

6 tins 1 dolimio jar this week, yay
How any tins did others get through?

My goal for next week is to match this with tins. The kids will be having spaghetti on toast for lunch one day this weekend :)

I had to laugh when my stepdaughter 15yrs and her friends dropped round a few days ago after school. They were wanting to know what was for afternoon tea and I told them they had to eat the two minute noodles. They thought I was joking but they have been in the pantry for ages and no one is eating them. I haven't seen them back this week.

Menu plan, a boring week for me in the kitchen

Sun roast lamb & veg, kids lunch spag on toast, 2 tins
Mon tinned curry sauce, 2 tins
Tues minetrone soup, 1 tin & 1 dolmio jar
Wed steak, frozen veg & wedges
Thurs pasta?
Fri. Tinned curry, 1 tin
Sat ?

Lunches, soups - 1 tin, sandwiches & left overs

 :)

Btw, I am leaving these tins out on the kitchen bench to remind me to use them. Might even get some spag down the boys for afternoon tea :)
