Wow Obbie, would love to see it. I found it hard to do for  2 weeks, so gave up. Plus we ended up using a lot out of the freezer to empty it. Still want to finish preared food before i cook too much& woud like to use the last bit of the old meat order before starting the new order. Also some spaghetti & the tinned curry pastes.

Thanks Astarra

I don't even know what we are eating today. A month plan. I do not know how you girls do it. I must have brain drain.

Hally this is how I menu plan the easy way.......

Sunday.. Diced steak,     either slow cook, pressure cook, Thermomix
Monday.. Pan Fry,           Pork, lamb, steak, stir fry, something easy
Tuesday ...                      Fish
Wednesday ....               Chicken
Thursday......                  Mince
Friday....                         Quick, or from Freezer
Saturday  .....                  Roast or Corned silverside that takes a while to cook.

Then its easy to plan from that.

Then you can plan what meals you make, so you get a good variety. Add soups and desserts, breads ect.
On  the weekends I have more time to cook and freeze, make pizza dough, cut up veges..

So I then plan which recipes  I will cook on the weekend, for the week ahead.
I have 3 big chest freezers loaded, so I always have plenty of food, fresh eggs, ect.

Left overs we take to work for lunch.
I cook cakes, biccies, jams, ice cream, heaps of stuff on weekends.

I hope this sort of helps someone with a basic idea of where to start.

example, If I am having fish, I then plan which recipe or how I am doing it, the weekend before.

H,  hope you are feeling better.
Obbie,  my weeks plan is similar,  and even if I don't stick to it %100 it is a guide.

Have spent $88 in total this week,  and had to fill up on butter, cream and brown sugar.  3 good things as a result of this challenge......
1.  freezer is looking a BIT empty
2,  Not so much to pack away
3  A bit of spare money to spend on other goodies.

Thanks Hally ;D ;D ;D

Obbie, thats a great udea, gves you a base to work with.

Chookie, so glad you are saving money, it really does make a difference. My chest freezer was nearly empty, but of course now both full to the top. I also like ntso mych to pack away :)

Resting up today as off to see LadyGaga tonight ;D excitement plus :)

$135.41 for the first week of the fortnight, so have just under $100 to spend next week. Hope to come in on budget as I have enough milk to last until friday. So main expenditure will be fruit & veg & incidentals. Need to re-look at list & see what I really need or dont need. The beauty of having no car tues-fri means I have to carry shopping.

I really pleased with last week. My week starts on a Sunday.
Shopped last Sunday and spent $91.21c which included a bunch of flowers and a cake pan. Didn't go back to the shops until Friday and just bought a bottle of milk. So grand total for last week $93.61c.
