Title: Review of Soy and Basil Chicken Noodles Nifty but Thrifty page 17
Post by: cookie1 on October 16, 2015, 08:27:17 am
I made the noodles for this using the Pasta Maker, very nice.
As I didn't have light and dark soy I used what I had.  I made the noodles and covered them on a plate while I did the chicken dish. When it was ready I cooked the noodles for 3 minutes on reverse. (I put them into boiling water )
We loved this.

5/5

I couldn't source "coconut palm sugar" but used coconut blossom sugar from C*les which says on the packet its Indonesian and 10 points lower in GI than raw sugar. I have palm sugar in the cupboard but thought there may be a "coconut" flavour or something to taste here. I don't know about that, but it was a really delicious meal that was devoured. I would say this is definitely a "Rush Hour" meal as it is quick and easy and better than takeaway. I love how Tenina says it serves between 4-6 people - when my DS and DH or any male at the table for that matter it will serve the lesser amount as they will always go back for seconds.

The 3 of us devoured this CP. There was a tiny bit left over for the next day.
