it happens alot here too tarasis but im just not ok with it...i dont think at that age kids are responsable enough if something happened...but saying that I am also fortunate enough to be able to be there for my kids...I know some parents for example our cleaning lady who has three kids at home and often leaves them alone...i just dont find it right or safe for the at matter in todays world but understand that some people have no choice and other parents are just plain lazy  :)

It's a sourdough and housework day here today. Have tried sour dough pumpernickel. I'll be interested to see how it goes. This afternoon will do some madeleines for DH to take to car club tomorrow.

JD we are coming over.  The weather has turned here in Europe and our last Weber was about two weeks ago.  The central heating is on constantly and our temperatures are dropping.  Time to change the winter tyres and get the coats dry cleaned

Leftover chicken roast for us today.

It must be hard for Aussies in Europe in winter Lee - at least you will have a break at Christmas when you visit your families here.

I have spoken with my mother in law requesting a few of my favorites for when I visit Highbury at Christmas time.  She is a real whiz with the Weber.  In fact she is a wonderful cook and I cannot wait!

Lucky all the family are air conditioned in Australia, as are the shops and cars.  We swim if we have the opportunity too.  I actually quite like the seasonal changes here in Europe, knowing that three weeks of every winter here I will be in summer there.  The weather doesn't affect me too greatly but by about march, I really look forward to the warm weather again.  Do you have winter tyres frozzie?
