At the moment the BBC have a "BBC Good Food - Recipes, Tools and cooking tips" free on the App Store, with the 7 books in it also free for a limited time rather than £1.49 each. The app is okay, (scarily it shudders a little on an iPad 3) but lots of recipes for free is hard to beat :) Already seen a couple I'd like to make.

[edit to note that it apparently also supports iPhone & iPod Touch, not sure how I missed that but apparently I did]
[edit 2 confirmed available in multiple countries]

Thanks Rob downloading it now and yes it's free here also ;D

Excellent news MF! I spotted it a short time ago (I was looking in the UK iBook store for something and forgot to switch back to my German account before going into the App Store) and was immediately going "I'll be having that, thank you very much".
Followed shortly by "Hmm, now where do I know a bunch of cooks that might benefit from this" ;D :D

;D ;D ;D

Thanks tarasis! I've downloaded it too.

Thank you from me too Rob :-* :-*

And me :)

Happy to give back in some small way :)
-
Thank you tarasis. :)
-
Great, I've just downloaded it too. Thanks.
-
Downloading now - I used to buy the magazines all the time, this should be good!
-
Thanks from me too!

Thanks from me too. I buy the magazine every month on my iPad. I really enjoy it and the recipes seem reliable.
-
Thanks Tarasis - never would have noticed this. Is it just me or is it difficult to scroll through recipes without one opening ?
-
No problems and yes the user interface for the app lacks a little. I too keep triggering recipes when I don't mean too. Would also be nice to have a combined starters/mains/desert/blah for all available recipes rather than by "book"

Thanks for this Tarasis, I downloaded it earlier tonight and there are some lovely sounding recipes.

Martha Stewart's cookies app is currently free in the app store! Also free are the in-app purchases of extra cookie recipes.
Tapping all the links inside the apps, I was then able to download an app of smoothie recipes (Whole Living) with more free "in-app" recipes. Finally, I also downloaded Martha's cocktail app for free. Lots of downloading here tonight.
Hope you find them and they're still free!

Thans Rob, downloading. I have a subscription to 1 bbc food mag, might be delicious ???
H :)

I just went through the free Martha Stewart apps that I mentioned above and counted the recipes included:
120 cookie recipes
72 smoothie recipes
140 cocktails and 35 bar snacks
All free!
***** just a warning. When you search for Martha Stewart in the app store, there are free versions of these apps and ones that cost.

Thanks MicheleK the kids have downloaded the cocktail one just in time for Christmas, I really like the cookies some of them look easy to make in the Thermo :)

Thanks MicheleK for the tip, grabbed the apps after your post. There is a shed load of delicious sounding food and drink there, I was salivating just looking at the pictures before bed last night.
