Interesting that you don’t need to rinse the garments Chookie.

Good morning everyone.

Yes, I think the Eucalyptus oil and metho repel the moths.   Since I have been using this( many years) we haven’t had a problem with moths or silverfish. Although caustic soda is used in soap making, I think that there must be very little in Lux.
When the jar, with the mix gets down to a couple of inches, I fill it with hot water after each wash.  I use this liquid for the next wash.
If it gets too thick, I stick it into TMX with some hot water, so it is easier to scoop out.

I’ve used Martha Gardner’s Wool Mix for years and years and never rinse. I will make some of this Chookie as I go through a bottle every few months. I do quite a lot of hand washing.

I also do a lot of hand washing.  Any thing silk or delicate,  I suppose that’s why my clothes don’t wear out.

Good morning everyone, up very early this morning so by 5.45 am I’d done a new inventory of the freezer.
It’s going to be a long day!

We are still in the low 30's....bliss. However it is warming up as the week progresses.

Hi friends,
It rained very heavily overnight so it was very muddy walking Chance this morning. One farmer has ploughed a field that we usually walked through but I took the decision to avoid it. Being heavily ploughed it had churned up all the ground and Chance has the possibly of cutting his paws on the razor sharp flints that rise to the surface. Hopefully the ground will settle soon so we can resume our usual route.

Good morning everyone, the last day of over 30 with a drop in temperature expected for tomorrow.  Getting sick of the heat, roll on winter.
My iPad has gone crazy on me so I will drop it off to a repairer in the morning and see if he can fix it or at least be able to transfer everything if I have to buy another one.  This one not as good as the first one Chookie & Ral so kindly gave me years ago.
