Michele,  the bread that is pale on top,  if you bake it again in the BBQ,  brush the top with egg yolk and it will brown.  The texture looks good,  so this is worth a go.

Today I made a new loaf.  Value Added Bread.  I will post the recipe later.

Value Added Bread.  I have added a mix of high protein grains.

Thanks for tip Chookie. I like cooking it in the bbq in summer so I don't heat the house up.

That bread looks amazing.

I've baked the cake for mum's birthday tomorrow - just cooling down to be iced later.

I'd like to make some bikkies too, just haven't decided what yet...

Fantastic looking bread Chookie.  I can imagine the 'crunch' right now.  :D

I've got to admit it's something I'm not that great at.  I'm never really happy with what I make if I'm honest, probably why I don't make it very often.  :-\

Julie,  I wouldn't worry too much,  as you are so good at other things.  Also,  I can only dream about taking photos like you.

Lovely looking bread Chookie.

I found a shrewsbury recipe - just so I could use my new cookie cutter with the heart cutout in the middle  ;D
Recipe from here

And here's the finished product (well, the first tray, another one just out of the oven, about to be sandwiched):
