Phew DJ, sounds exhausting.  We had to move out while our house was renovated - we were here for the first stage, but it was such hard work, and the next part was MAJOR (kitchen and bathroom ripped out).  But now that it's just a distant memory, it's SO worth it!

DJ you sound so very busy.

DD and I went to the Royal show today. We really enjoyed it.

Just home from work. Did some overtime - being short staffed seems to becoming the norm on weekends these days.

It will be nice come payday.  :D

I was shopping this morning and I have a question...

When did “customer return” become synonymous with “layby”?
I discovered this today when I tried to return an item at a counter with a big “Customer Service” sign overhead in a Target store. After being told that returns had not been done at this counter for at least 6 months, I was directed to another part of the store. Clearly, I should have known about this even though there were no signs or notices ???
And yes, if I had searched through the store before going to the Customer Service counter, I would have immediately recognised the place to go for returns because it was clearly marked “Layby”. There was a queue of about 10 people in the area at the edge of the store, which I then joined. A few minutes later we were all asked to move (by the same staff member who had spoken to me at the “Customer service” counter ) and queue down one of the narrow store aisles instead the bigger space at the edge of the store.
WTH ???
Maybe I am out of touch with Target store policy because I don’t go there much and now I remember why >:(
[Rant over]
Afternoon was fun as I drove DD to the Blue Mountains for a week long HSC study camp. Lovely drive. Just me, the car and the spectacular scenery on the drive home 8)

They do sound a bit confused at that store Gayle.  I hate it when a word doesn't mean what it reads. Customer service is just that - complaints, returns, advice.  Layby is a completely different matter. Getting that through to management would be another matter.

Nice drive this afternoon by the sounds of it.

Customer service is not layby.
layby is where you put stuff away, and pay it off in 4 weeks. :)

keep ranting... ;D

A layby is where you stop the car on a journey.  ;)

Dog training today. Puppy is awful. Noisy, fretful, pulls and we are both exhausted for the rest of the day. Apparently he wasn't socialised enough. Except In a pack of collies he is fine, I tried him two weeks ago.
I was asked why I wasn't taking him out and walking down streets with him more today. . . . . .
Hmmm we live on a farm ten miles from any streets, plus the building work etc etc. Oh dear, well will persevere and do what I can. He is such a sweetie, but cAn be headstrong. Finally got food he eats and likes to eat 2 x day called Eden. Oh and he is still eating pears from the lawn, at least two a day,  DD helps with him.  I need to succeed with this dog, my pride could be a stake here now. What is it about pride and falls..... Hmmmm I've given up riding...

djinni that is terrible, I must admit I don't visit Target much at all.  I find the level of customer service in many stores leaves a lot to be desired these days.

DJ, can really sympathise with you.  Hoping he will improve soon  :)
There is a harness available called a Halti that might be worth a try.  Good luck  :-*

Took the kids to the Melbourne show today, arrived early, was directed to the members car park right next to the entrance, bonus! We were in and out by 1.30, crammed a lot in so now we're all pooped. Beautiful day in Melbourne, I think everyone decided it was show day judging by the traffic heading in that direction as we were leaving.
DJ, we saw some beautifully trained dogs performing "Dances with Dogs" - maybe one day!
And I had to take these pics for Cookie and her DH - how are you with the knitting needles Cookie?
