It serve a lot, take time to cook and very soupy. My only tweak is only use one green chilly.
Personally I will prefer thicker consistency, maybe like Chookie's dahl recipe. 18

I use watermelon and instead of lemon using juice of one orange. Not need much water as watermelon has lots of liquid. Yummy... Would be regular, made two glasses and I finished them by myself

Refreshing salad to go with chick pea curry. I made double batch, my tweak is using red onion and adding coriander leaves. None left, so a good sign

We decided to have rice and curry for church lunch. I made this curry and ketchumber. My tweak is using coriander powder instead of dried green mango powder. And sprinkle coriander leave on top. My Srilankan friend gave a thumb up. For sure will make this again.

It's tofu version of frittata, DS and DD loves this with tomato sauce. Yum... Ingredients: 1 onion, quartered 1 garlic 1 small carrot, chop roughly 1 tbsp olive oil 1 spring onion, both white and green 2 egg, seperate 1/4 cup breadcrumb (made in TMX) 600gr tofu 100gr cheddar cheese, cube salt to taste Preparation: Heat oven to 180oC Put onion, garlic and carrot in the , chop at speed 7 for 10 second. Add olive oil, cook for 2min, speed 1, 100oC. Add the rest apart from white egg, mix until combined. I just beat the white egg by hand until soft peak form. Add to the and mix with spatula. Pour into remakin or muffin tin (I used silicon muffin tin for 6 and two normal remakins), and bake for 30 minutes. Enjoy! Tips/Hints: This recipe can be halved easily and nice cold as well. 25

Not have enough roll oats, so 3:1 of roll oats and steel cut oats. Instead of sunflower seeds, used 30g pepita. Don't have dried rosemary, so just omit. It's quite sticky when forming patties. Turn out OK and serve it with tomato chutney.
I prefer Walnut Patties though. 28
Bread / Bread Colapse on Second Raise« on: April 28, 2011, 01:42:31 pm »
Have done Isi's Portugese rolls as a loaf so many times with no fail. But this time for second raise, as it's a bit cold I decided to put it in the oven at 50 degree, 20 min. And it's colapse, twice as wide and looks more like flat bread. Not quite sure that second raise in the oven causing all this

Give a thumb up for this one.
I used ricotta from the container and drainned it for a few hours. i used up all my walnut (110g instead of 100g as per recipe), turn out really nice. It's not sticky and easy to shape. Next time will try to bake in the oven and reduce (or omit) cayenne pepper to make it more children friendly. |
