Last night delicious wagyu burgers. My friend who owns a butchers shop traded wagyu burgers for herbs. She took the herbs about a month ago :) great trade for me, we received 8 big burgers :)

I'm especially proud of myself when I "wing it" with thermie and things turn out well. I grabbed a bag of large frozen shrimp (oops I guess I should say prawns) and defrosted them quickly in a colander with warm water running  over them. Tossed them with some tamari and hot sauce and minced garlic. Into the varoma with veggies on the top tray and rice in the basket. Wham bam thank you ma'am and a delicious supper with leftovers for my lunch tomorrow!

I know what you mean Laura, we still seem to surprise ourselves when we do something which isn't following a recipe.  You are right, it's prawns not shrimps here in Aussie land.  Shrimps to us are tiny little tasteless things in cans or what was found on top of pizzas years ago. We have learnt to live with all things Americanised though so when we see the word shrimp, in our heads we replace it with prawns.

JD we in North America really need 2 words for them, one for the shrimpy shrimp and one for the good ones!

We had lunch in Fremantle today so it will be something light tonight.

Was meant to be a beef roast dinner, but the meat was not cooked through properly.  :-\ so thankfully dh had his brain switched on & suggest that we cut it into steaks and cook in the sandwich press. 8)
worked well so we had...
steaks, potatoes, vegetables, and gravy.   :D

the meat must have been still frozen in the center.   :-[
:D
