Neighbours meant to be doing some hand watering, but probably too hot for him.

My dh is away so I was tempted to get take away for the kids and I. Then I thought better of it (I'm a thermomix newbie!) and made my first tm risotto. Had to improvise with ingredients I had so followed the edc recipe but with sundried tomatoes, olives and zucchini instead of mushroom. Can't believe how easy and tasty it was. Definitely easier than getting take away!

Well after having no kids for 2 days, they came home today and DS14 asked if a friend can sleep over! He went out with said friend and met another friend then rang me( putting me on the spot!) asking If he too could stay!!! What's 1 more! Then I thought, DINNER what to do, 5 hungry boys! Anyway I thought, pasta is always good, so it was creamy tomato and salami( bacon) fettucine ( penne) and vegemite spaghetti with the addition of bacon. Also made 4 medium garlic pizzas. All demolished. Verdict- yum! First time making vegemite spaghetti so was a bit worried!
Now DS14 is asking what's for dessert- thinking maybe golden syrup cake which I made earlier and caramel custard! We will see.

Fish for dinner tonight.
I'll decide how to cook it later.

Yesterday I made a lasagna like dish for dinner tonight. Pasta topped with cheese sauce, then bol and more cheese sauce.Just have to add some grated cheese when I get home and pop into oven.

Now DS is back to school I am going to be more organised

Roast beef here as it's not too hot.

We had lots of rain overnight and it's lovely and cool today, very windy which is blowing through the house which I'm enjoying.

Today I made a really nice meal, lemony salmon fillet on a bed of couscous that had toms, chopped red onion, lemon juice etc through it.  Really healthy.  :)

Last night was home made pizza which I really enjoyed after cleaning, cooking and mowing the lawns after such a hot day.
Tonight was curried mince (much cooler day here today) with some new potatoes steamed in TM followed by butterscotch self saucing pudding. I'm really full now.

A few days ago i made some fresh pasta and i dry it in the oven for many hours  (big mistake)

Last night the stupid pasta would not cook after ½ hour of boiling and 15mins of simmering in a homemade passata sauce and home grow eggplants  :(

ended up having left overs and eggs cooked in a nap sauce
i don't need a recipe i'm italian

Tonight I made warm red cabbage salad with chicken and Brie from MOTM cookbook.
The only changes I made was used Camembert instead of Brie and macadamia nuts instead of walnuts because that's all I had in the pantry.
Made a vego version as well (no chicken  ;))
This was delicious.
Thought the kids wouldn't eat it but they did (nothing else to eat!)
