Consultant selling on Ebay
« on: September 01, 2010, 01:13:39 pm »
To save any other consultant going through grief please be advised that if you are a consultant, head office absolutely frown on selling TM accessories on Ebay. I was doing quite well before I got the call from my GL asking me to end my listings, to which I complied. Just thought I would make mention in case  anyone else thought it was a great idea and to head off some trouble.

I am going to assume that I can sell to you guys so if anyone wants to help me out by buying a TM brush at $5.00 + postage, instead of $24 on ebay PM me :)  :-:

do you know the very strange part is that I sold nearly $1000 worth of their kit in a 7 day period.. you do the sums..
plus received Australia wide enquireys from all areas of Australia that have no representations and have not thought to log onto the website to buy the gear direct. We can also sell gear EVERYWHERE esle, field days/spring festivals etc etc just not Ebay..

oh well I don't understand but I have done as I have been ask - shame it was shaping up to be a win/win/win.

It is strange.  In Spain they have a site on the TMX website, where you can order accessories.  We don't even know what is available.

It may be something that Nay-Nay, faffa_70 & others who send out monthly/whenever newsletters could think about promoting?

If thermomix is a member of the direct sales association, then their code of practice prohibits sales on the net, also at shopping centers and shows etc. It is all about each consultant having the same opportunity. It kind of suck though, as Internet sales in my opinion level the playing field for consultants in rural and emote areas who may have a limited number of customers. Active Tupperware girls are only allowed to sell discontinued lines I believe. As a former creative memories girl, I found it annoying that some of the eBay traders told lies, such as "not available in australia". They also undermined the exclusive gifts we used to book more parties. I don't have a problem with people moving old stock.

Just to clarrify, no tupperware demonstrators are allowed to sell online, even discontinued stock. Even facebook selling is no allowed. This is standard for most direct sales companies.
It does make things hard for us remote/rural demonstrators though. And I cant see anything wrong with selling your excess stock once you have stopped being a demonstrator. How else are you meant to get rid of your cookbooks etc! Its not like we make that much commission on them anyway once we postage to get them to us in the first place.
