A lovely item to take to someone’s place cookie, the only people I know who make their own bread are TMX people.

Well done Cookie.
I made a slice because I had all the ingredients.  It is based on Rice Bubbles with added seeds, choc bits , dried cherries and stuck together with Tahini and Honey.  It is very nice.

Nice cooking everyone.
I have a beef curry in the SC.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Found some sausages without onion and garlic.  The were lovely.  Just pork and sage.

I made 15 jars of cumquat marmalade this morning, most for SIL but some for the annual nursing home trading table, the lady who owns the cumquat tree and my gardener who picks them for me.  4 batches of the recipe on the forum, such a sticky, messy job but it has to be done.  There must be an easier way to wrap the pips than in muslin cloth, I go through so much of it when making this recipe - has anyone got any other ideas please.

Judy, think I can help.
Cook the Cumquat whole first.  Don’t need to save the pips. When soft, save the water they were cooked in. Take each Cumquat and squash it flat with your hand and slide the pips off to the side with a knife. Slice the skin into strips and slide the pulp and skins into a dish.  It is still messy but is the easiest method that I have tried.
This would be one of the best hams and your SIL is very lucky.
This is the first time in many nears that I haven’t had access to a Cumquat tree.  The manager of the Creswick Market is going to advertise in the local Community paper to see if he can find a source.
Made 6 jars of Strawberry conserve in the TMX. Cost $250 plus electricity.
Alyce has devised a recipe for a butter alternative.  It is easy and nice.  However you do need a neutral flavoured coconut oil.  I made it with ordinary coconut oil and it had a great texture but tasted of coconut. I will use it in cooking as a butter substitute where there is coconut involved.
