Was that my tart recipe Cookie? Sadly I didn't win the comp, but was very thrilled to make the final with Thermomixer.  Actually my DH bought me a couple of the UK TMX cookbooks for my birthday and they arrived on Friday in the mail.  I noticed (whilst having a sneak peak ;)) that they have a lemon mascarpone tart in their main cookbook.  I spent a whole weekend of converting and cooking for nothing.  Talk about reinventing the wheel!!!  :-)) :P :-))

Yes Chelsea it was your recipe. It was nice hot but we liked it ever so much more when it was cold. I'm not a citrus person but this is really delicious. I was BAD and put the extra mascarpone on mine!

made cheese and basil knot rolls to go with chicken and salad tonight. Also made the Moroccan Carrot Salad from the vegetarian book (which I might add was submitted by our very own esteemed Thermomixer!!) This was also made at our last cooking class  ;D

The carrot salad seems to have been demonstrated in a few cooking classes now - it is so easy and so easy to adapt/change.

I made a salmon (not tuna) style nicoise salad for tea on Sunday ?  Used TMX to cook potatoes and eggs, steam beans and "poach" the salmon and make dressing - it is pretty basic, but if anybody wants me to make up a recipe then i probably could.

Made boned quail stuffed with red-rice, fruit and nut mix and served with lentils with bacon/onions and also the last of my beetroot for now.  No photo - just too tired and unwell when it came to serving - have some left over, so may get pic tonight?

Wish it had been from the races - no just a cold thing that made me sneeze so much that I put my back out !!! and i had so many plans for what i was going to do on my holiday yesterday  :(  Couldn't hardly stand and certainly sitting up in bed was the most excruciating thing !!  So couldn't get near the laptop - oh, woe is me ....... where are the background violins??  ;D ;D

I'll put a recipe together Snoozie

I made some custard and almond scrolls today. I used the brioche recipe and rolled it out, spread it with custard (from the TMX) and sprinkled flaked almonds over it and a tiny few sultanas and a sprinkle of brown sugar as I put very little sugar in the custard. I rolled it up and cut it into 12, put them on a tray and 15 minutes later Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
