The chaps will be so happy they were posted to the station near you Chookie, I hope they will get the chance to relax and enjoy all your lovely food and not have to go to any fires.

Cute jars Julie, for some reason every child I know loves scones and it’s nice to spoil them with their favourite treats when we have them.

My favourite treat now is a Keto ice-cream but I only have a very small serve and I savour every mouthful.

I can't say I've seen that Judy.  Is it in the supermarkets or a special buy somewhere?

Edited to add;  Just seen that it's sold in Coles so I will look for it and give it a try. Thanks for that.

Yes, sorry for the slow response, Coles. I’ve only had the chocolate one Julie.

Chookie that is so sweet of you. The firies will love you to bits.

Technically we are not allowed to feed the Firies.  What they eat is supposed to be bought or supplied by the Red Cross, if there is a big event.  However they prefer it when local mums look after them.  I think they enjoy the visit and friendly chat as well. At Cherokee it was very well organized with a coordinator and small team of women who could provide rolls/ sandwiches, cake and fresh fruit. We would be rung the day prior and I would always make fresh rolls and cake.
I have an overnight SD loaf rising.  Will bake it later today.
Made GD pumpkin cakes, ( like potato cakes) using SD as batter.
Probably baked salmon and salad.

I need to put something in the biscuit barrel. I have some shortbread dough in the freezer but I think we have had enough of that for a while.

Have been playing with Weber Q BBQ today.  Made 3 bread sticks, No Fuss recipe.  Top side pale but underneath ok.  Will try flipping them at 10 minutes.  Baked at 3/4 power for 15 minutes.

DH would love the crunch of these.

I made these Coffee Scroll Biscuits this afternoon. I remember when you could buy these and loved them. I forgot to put the baking powder in and then they were cooked for an extra 9 minutes as I was outside helping DH and didn’t hear the timer.
I also used a tiny bit of Royal icing on the top instead of white chocolate. The mob said they taste nice, so they are obviously very forgiving.

I've made these bars today, cutting into 12 pieces instead of 10.  I made the peanut butter first then carried on without cleaning the bowl.
Half will be sent back with GS tomorrow and the other half has been frozen for DH's lunchbox.  Very easy in the TM.
