Sausage Rolls

Ingredients:

4 ready rolled pastry sheets
500 g sausage mince
1 tsp Salt
pinch dry herbs
2 Tbs tomato sauce/paste (I use homemade tomato relish)
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 Tbs very finely chopped onion
2 Tbs finely chopped parsley

Preparation:
Preheat Oven to 180.
Place onion and Parsley into TM and chop to desired size.
place remainder of ingredients (except pastry) into TM and mix to combine well
cut pastry sheets into halves and brush a long side with a mixture of beaten egg and milk.
Place filling down the opposite side and roll up to form a long sausage roll. Cut each long roll into 4 and place onto a baking tray. Brush the tops of the sausage rolls with the egg mixture. with kitchen scissors make 2 snips in the top of each sausage roll.
Bake in oven till a golden brown.

Thanks  dede. I love adding vegies to my sausage rolls. Your recipe looks traditional and tasty. Everyone always loves sausage rolls especially if they are home made.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
