Title: Raw Vege Soup?
Post by: Sonan on February 07, 2011, 02:04:21 am
I'm interested in making some raw vege soup but not really sure where to start. Does anyone have any advice or a website or a recipe?
Thanks  ;)

Sonan, here's one from farfallina that might help you on your way.

A cauli/carrot one here http://simplifyingyourlife.blogspot.com/2010/08/raw-cauliflower-and-carrot-soup.html

3 soups on Tebasile's blog here http://tebasileskitchen.blogspot.com/search/label/Soups

That should be enough to keep you going for a while  ;)

Hi Sonan,

I had to make a raw Carrot & Ginger soup for a Raw food event on the weekend.  It was taken from the Rawlicious booklet we have here.  From memory it was:

3cm ginger - chop at sp 8 for 10 seconds & then scrape down sides.
7 medium sized carrots (the recipe says chuck all the remaining ingredients in & blitz but I found it better to chop the carrots down first so do them for 5 seconds on sp 5.) I weighed in 650g
1 green apple quartered.
I avocado peeled & stone removed
tsp salt
Pinch of allspice.

Add all these remaining ingredients & blend on sp 8 for a minute.  You'll probably need to use the spatula to help incorporate everything & make sure that you check under the lid to ensure all is incorporated.  It's thick so you might want to water it down a bit.
Then "cook" for 5 mins on 37 degrees speed 2.

It got great reviews from the raw food enthusiasts..............
Enjoy!!
