Well done KATIE and DS. Big job cleaning out Chook shed. We finally did ours yesterday. We have a Grandpa feeder that we have just bought.  Very good but chooks need to be trained to use it.  Our 3 new girls have just started to lay. It is great having fresh eggs every day. I give most away to family , friends and neighbours.
Our girls are on rice hulls and when we clean out their run , it makes wonderful compost for the garden.
CC, I have to agree that the bright yellow yolks are beautiful. Your local chooks must be getting plenty of greens.
Yesterday we had lots of sun, today raining again.

We left home this morning for our little jaunt in the country. We are camped by the Murchison River tonight, with about 60 others. It is a free camp. I have 1 bar coverage on my iPad so I'm attempting to use it.
We drove about 560km today, all on bitumen. Tomorrow we head inland following the river. We are in the baby A van with DH's car. Because it is easy to tow I was permitted to do quite a bit of the driving today. It's freezing here, no power, so no heater.

I heard from Gayle today (Djinni) and will be able to meet up with her next week. Absolutely lovely.

Cookie, so envious here. Is that sun that I can see. .? Have a great trip, but that does seem like a lot of Ks.
It has rained all day today in Ballarat. We spent most of the day doing jobs around the town.

Yes, definitely sun. It was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky.

It's a small world at times.I went grocery this morning and needed potatoes.Theses spuds are grown in the village where I was born by a local family. I knew Philip's Mum and Dad well. The family produces huge amount of spuds for a crisp manufacturer. As I said it's a small world at times.

That's amazing CC.
We have had a wonderful few days visiting Mount Augustus, Gascoyne Junction and Carnarvon. We've done about 1000km of dirt road. Mount Augustus is a rock. Much larger than Ayers Rock, but has vegetation on it.
We've seen some amazing wildflowers and been covered in dust and mud several times.
We are now sitting in Denham (Shark Bay) doing very little. We arranged to meet friends here. We head home next Sunday but will do it in 2 days.

Your trip in pics looks wonderful Cookie, and I'm sure you and DH will be cosy in the A van despite the cold nights.
We had the coldest August day in 6 years today, and very wet with gusty winds.
I was babysitting most of the day at DD's and it was a challenge keeping 2 and 31/2 y.o amused inside. I would have been happy to just sit and watch the olympics (I have a heavy head cold) but the kids had other ideas.

I hope you feel better soon Katj. Yes it is lovely to have no dust Judy.
The photos are of the car and van set up at Mt Augustus park and a pool on the Lyons river called Cattle Pool.

Love the photos Cookie.  Thanks. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.
Today I spent 8 hours in the garden and enjoyed every moment.  It was cool, perfect for being outside. I weeded all the raised garden beds ( 18) and then raked all the Autumn leaves that were still around. I picked up branches that had dropped in the recent storms and snow.
No TMX at Cherokee so cooked Pork fillet in oven, stuffed, wrapped in bacon. With mushrooms and peas.

Get well soon Katj.  Loving your photos too cookie. Chookie, no matter how hard or how long you've worked in the garden you still cook a wonderful meal for tea.  I don't know how you do it.

I have been enjoying your photos, Cookie.  Your caravan looks so incredibly compact but you are both such experienced travellers I am sure you make use of every spare inch!
