It certainly does Judy. I love the word innards. I know exactly what they mean.

Me too.
Yesterday I made Hilda’s Steak paste from my blog.  I had forgotten how nice it is. Hilda was Rals mum.  She would make this for sandwiches which were sold at the footy matches. She used to get very cross when the helpers would spread it thinly so that they could take remainders home.

It makes a lot Chookie, do you eat all that before it goes off or do you freeze it? Perhaps you give some away.

Judy, I usually give some away.
Yesterday I cooked 2 trout fillets in the AF. Placed in small SS dish. Covered with thin slices of lemon which I sprayed with olive oil. I cooed at 160 degrees for about 10 minutes. ( time depends on thickness of fillet). Perfect.
Making some Light Brioche rolls.  We are having a special delivery of organic meat and veggies from Melbourne. Hamburgers are included. We have a young electrician coming tomorrow and I have promised hamburgers for lunch. Better make some Portuguese Tarts.

Chookie, I make that paste occasionally as we quite like it on toast for lunch.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

DH and I decided  we needed garlic bread with dinner tonight. I made Chookie’s No Fuss recipe and with both of us fiddling we ended up with this weird thing. I spread oily garlic (I’d cooked it earlier) everywhere and DH did the “slashing.”

Mab, the steak paste is nice on toast.  I put some plum sauce in it this thing. Nice.
Cookie, very interesting. How did it taste.?

Very nice Chookie, it could have done a bit more garlic.

I made some honey biscuits from  a Ukrainian cookbook I borrowed from the library. I saw that an acquaintance had made them and thought that they looked nice. They have a bit of dried fruit and 100g of seeds.

Sweet potato and lentil soup, Lemon polenta cake and vege stew (with the Jerusalem artichokes ... kept me awake and in and out of the toilet for most of the night ... never again!)

I've never eaten Jerusalem Artichokes Marina. Perhaps I won't.
I've made a four ingredient fruit cake. I soaked the 1kg of dried fruit in the 3 cups of tea yesterday. Today I added a teaspoon of mixed spice and 2 cups of SR flour. It's in the oven now. The raw mix tasted nice.
