Meatloaf Sauces
« on: September 16, 2009, 01:55:41 pm »
I made the meatloaf with red sauce.  The meatloaf was delicious, even not stuffed and not wrapped (too fiddly for me).

But the red sauce, not for me!  It was very sweet, almost marmalady (if that's a word).  What I'd love is a good tomato based sauce.  I could try the red sauce without the sweet potato as I think that was the problem.

Any ideas to share?

I've never even tried this one Cathy - any recipe that is 2 pages long is far too long for me to bother with.  Never been a great fan of meat loaf either so that doesn't help. I'm sure there have been comments about that sauce before on this forum and hopefully you will get some feedback on your query.

Thanks Judy.  I'll respond to that thread and see what happens.
