Searing/Caramelising Vegetables
« on: December 31, 2013, 06:51:20 am »
Hi.  I have only had 'Thelma' for 2 weeks now and I think I am in love LOL
While I would never call myself a cook I want to try and start to convert some recipes.
One particular recipe I want to convert calls for Brussel sprouts to be 'seared'.
Anyone got any idea how this can be done in the TM or would it just be easier to do this in a fry pan and then add to the mix.
The recipe I am trying to convert is a stew.
Thanks  :D

Welcome JosieBella to the forum. :)
I would sear your Brussel Sprouts in a pan then add to the mix but look at this recipe if you want another idea  ;)
Deliciously Different Brussel Sprouts.

Thanks for that Cornish Cream :)
Think I will try with the pan first and then next time try it as per the link and see what difference it makes  :)
