Thanks everyone. Loving my TMX. It's all a learning curve. The meal was delicious. I will look at making my own mince though.

Recipe Requests / Please help with chopping vegetables

Hi all, I have just received my tm and tonight made shepards pie.  My husband complained that it was like eating baby food.  I followed the recipe for savoury mince from the thermomix forum. It was delicious but the mince was very fine, and we could only see the peas and carrots.  It is great recipe for hiding vegetables from children.

Does anyone have any tips on how not to mince the vegetables too finely. I used reverse with the soft spoon speed for cooking. Any advise would be appreciated.

Introduce Yourself / Re: New to Thermomix

Thanks everyone. So far I have cooked chocolate custard from the EDC. I have steamed corn and vegetables in the varoma. Made the brown rice and quinoa salad, sorbets 2 varieties. At the moment I have just cooked the kidney bean cake from the community. Savoury mince is in the tm and I'll be cooking the EDC mashed potatoes to make shepards pie for dinner. I've ground coffee beans and heated water to 80 degrees for my plunger today. It's odd not having to stir everything. Lovin my tm

Hi all, what a wonderful forum. I've really enjoyed reading all the masses of information everyone has generously shared. I have taken the plunge and I received my thermomix today.  I am really looking forward to learning how to use it. A new obsession lol.

Hi All, thanks for your comments. I also am interested in purchasing a TMX but was concerned about price vs warranty.  I am going to my first demo in just over a week. I have to say I am very interested. I can't wait to see it live.
